How long should batteries last on one charge? We have autos, manuals and one x-long manual. My husband vapes constantly and is always complaining about dead batteries. He has three (two auto, one manual) that he rotates but can't seem to keep up with the charging. He was even waking up in the middle of the night to put a new battery on the charger, so I ordered more chargers.

I don't like the autos, so I haven't tested them myself to see if they last longer for me. And I have my own manual battery that seems to work fine. I was testing his manual, but he took it away from me when his autos and the x-long were all dead.

Also, how long should a battery last before it has to be replaced? We received our first VK w/ the two auto batteries 6 weeks ago. I wonder if they are on their way out.

Obviously if he is vaping continually, he is going to run through the batteries fairly quick. If he spends any time at all on the computer, you might want to consider getting him a passthrough. If not, it sounds like investing in extra long batteries for him would be a good idea. I would think if you had 3 for him, he could rotate them would never be without a charged battery.

Or you could get one of the USB adapters for the wall sockets and he could vape on the passthrough while watching TV or whatever. One for the car and he can vape while driving.

Does he have a PCC?

Sounds like somebody needs to charge his battery as soon as it dies. Of the two batteries I got in my first kit in April one just died last week, the other is still going strong. How about trying a usb passthrough? You can get a power pack to make it portable, and a cig lighter adapter to use in the car.

Jen's right..I am vaping all the time, so I go thru some batteries! But I have 3 passthrus, one for the car (car adapter), one for the computer and one for my favorite chair (wall plug adapter). That way my batteries don't get such a workout.
I would put a passthrough in every room of the house if that's what it took to stay off analogs!:)

Bottom line, if you vape more than you have batteries in reserve, you need more batteries and/or another charger. When you do a calculation of battery life with an e-cig (based on the mAh rating and resistance of the atomizer), it might only be 12 minutes of use with non-stop vaping. In a real life situation, you are not vaping non-stop so an hour or two or three may be the normal lifecycle of a battery. Don't freak out over this, just be prepared to have the amount of power you need for the length of your waking day.

If you prefer 3.7 volt vaping (the voltage of a typical screw-in battery), there are new enhanced battery packs, often referred to as mods, that can provide up to 12 hours of vaping from a single battery. These same device may be capable of vaping at higher voltages. To many forum members, higher voltage vaping provides a more analog experience.

I'm a virgin at this, but from reading other posts some people said if they went to a stronger strenght (mg) of nicotine it helped not need to vape as much.
I started with 2 batteries and a passthrough, but the batteries didn't vape very good so I mainly used the passthrough. I pulled my side and got mad easily, but in the mean time I found Steves store and ordered more juice since he had a bigger selection and another passthrough. My first juice was 16mg and Steve's was 18mg. Instantly after using the 18mg for 1 hour I didn't smoke or even want another analog. Don't know why but 2mg made a big difference in me and I instantly got happier.
If you go up in strength do it slowly and stop when if it helps. If you go real strong right off the bat and vape that much I'd be worried about getting too much nicotine, which some put up formulas you could use to figure out how much you got in analogs so that you wouldn't overdo it with juice. That is one others will have to help you with, but one poster said they had made themselves sick overdoing it.
Smoked 37 years, 10-12 cartons a month at my highest point but last 10 years back down to 8 cartons a month.
I've mainly been using the passthrough and plan to get a external battery pack for it since they will last longer than you can keep the little sticks charged, yet they come in handy when you go to shop and don't want to be messing with wires.
Since I am a heavier vaper I'll be watching the thread for tips myself since I'm a noobe (or however it's spelled).

Yeah you definately might want to increase your Nic Strength if he is vapeing that much. Of course I hear people vape harder in the beginging. Myself I have been vaping all day 24 hours on 1 carto and 1 battery and it has not died yet ( one of the older auto batteries) Perhaps I just do not vape as much LOL!
Also make sure your getting a good charge on them leavign them on the whole 5 hours or so to make sure they get a compleate charge before unhooking. And definately a passthrough!

If you are letting them run down all the way before charging them...they should last at least 200 cycles. If you can charge them before they run down completely....the cycle life will increase depending on how low they are before you charge them. We are really beating these batteries up in normal usage because the mah is so low. The small battery is 280mah and the long battery is 380mah.

Well, today I tested the X-long battery and it worked for 6 hours. This is the one that I was testing yesterday for an hour before he took it away from me. It lasted him another hour. I am now wondering if he is aware that there is a cut-off. He might be seeing the blinking light and thinking that it needs charging. I had better do a training class tonight when I get home. He's pretty technically challenged which is why I'm so surprised he's using the VK at all!

He has been vaping now for 6 weeks, so I think he knows how to do it but I could be wrong! I have told him many times, long, slow drags... He also started out on 36mg and I dropped him down to 24 (I do the ordering) but either way he uses it constantly. I think I'll go back to getting him 36mg when it's available.

Thanks for all the helpful advice! I think an AC USB adapter and another passthrough is the best option.
