Questions from a relative Newbie: 650 mAh verses 1300 mAh

I use the ego basic system and have a couple 650mAh batteries. They're kind of quick to run down and I'm wondering if the 1300 mAh will give me more vaping time. I hear some people say that their batteries last a couple of days but I'm a heavy user, The battery (650) usually runs down towards the end of the day. What are the benefits of the 1300mAh over the 650 mAh. I know the 1300 is bigger but size doesn't bother me as long as I have a good strong flow of vapor.


I'm also curious about travel with these ego type e-cigarettes. I haven't really carried one out in the fret that It'll get turned around and leak in a pocket or case. I 'm guessing these weren't made to travel because I've tipped them over before and although there was no great leaking the fluid di get into the (loosened by the fall) mouthpeice and (Yuk) forcing me of course to rinse it off. So I'm guessing the only way to travel (and in traveling I mean just walking out of the house and going to work or play). I'd just need to make sure I kept it on a horizontal level, I do have a mouth piece cap but that still doesn't keep the fluid from accidentally spilling a little on the mouthpiece from time to time.

I'd love to get some feedback on this if anyone has any tricks or suggestions.

Hi and welcome to ECF , yes the 1300mah last longer , the vision spinners are good batteries and is variable voltage ie you can fine tune your vape and set it to your sweet spot .
If size isnt an issue you can get a mod , i have the innokin SVD , incredible device IMO.

Also try a bottom coil clearo ie EVOD they are highly recommended , protank 2/mini , iclears etc

i remember when i was at that stage.. before you buy another ego (you will regret it in the future) consider other options... taking the next step will completely change your vaping experience. dont take my word for it! check out this video by grimmgreen. this answered a LOT of questions i had at your stage.

What kind of delivery system, clearo, carto tank? And generally you will get 1 hour vaping per 100 mah. That said why not upgrade? Do you have variable voltage now? If I was you I would look at other options you before you dive in.

Hi Big.Ego. I have 2 1300mah Vision Spinners and 2 1300mah Smotek Winders. They last me all day and I am a chain vaper. I make sure I rotate the 4 of them. One is charging every day. I used to smoke 2 pad for 45 years. I drip into a Joye 510 atty most of the time, but when I go out I use Kanger Evods and have never had one leak on me. They get thrown in my purse and carried around, no leaks.

I am happy with my spinners and evods. The spinners or twists or winders will give you the variable voltage so you can adjust the taste to your liking. It will be cheaper to get one of these than to go with a mod style where you have to purchase a new charger and individual batteries.

It all depends on what you are looking for. Some people within a week or two want to go with the bigger and fancier equipment. Some just want ease of use and a good vape. Do some reading here on ECF and watch some Youtube videos. You will have a better idea of where your next dollars should be spent.

I can agree with the evods the only time I had one leak was from extreme temperature change. I was in the cold and I put it on the heated seat in the truck. I see you are in San Francisco so you probably won't have this issue. And the leak was more like a very small drip. You will not have to worry about it.

Any variable voltage device will give you the same experience if you treat it right. If you want to use higher than 3ohm coils or dual coils, you may want something that will provide adequate energy. I just switched back to 3 Ohm coils after using 2 Ohms for a while, so I wouldn't be able to use 3 Ohm coils at the power level I want with a twist/spinner.

650 mAh is 0.65 Amps (for)one hour, 1300 mAh is 1.3 Amps (for)one hour.. I typically run at about 9watts, so I'll say 8 to simplify the math. I use 2Ohm coils to run at 4Volts to equal 8watts. This is going to run at 2 amps. With the twist/spinner/any VV PV you can maintain that 2 amps through the battery's discharge duration.

Just take you mAh rating÷by the current being used. Multiply the whole number by 60 for minutes, and you take the decimal ×60 for seconds. I convert the minute value to seconds, not only to add both values together, but it is also easier to figure out how long you're getting with a battery with number of pulls. I average about 6 second pulls.

1.3÷2=0.65
0.65×60=39.00 minutes (00×60=0 seconds)
39×60=2,340 seconds (00+2,340=0 seconds)
2,340seconds÷6second long pull=390 pulls

This is with consideration of just the specific operation. Your battery is going to slightly discharge, and regulators and the rest of the circuit will vary with each PV. A non-variable or non regulated voltage battery will range in discharge energy. Fully charged 4.2 Volts, nominal at 3.7 Volts, and needs to be charged before 3.2 Volts, so current will range as well.. A variable wattage battery will require additional energy to use resistance calculations each time battery is fired.

You don't need to know this, but I think it comes in handy if you're trying new batteries..
