Hey guys i need some help if any of you are willing to help me out :p

I have a 510 PV nothing at all done to it and i haven't used it in awhile so ill have to order a couple more atteys. Anyways With the USB passthrough i was going to order what do they mean by No inline battery? Does that just mean its just a cord hooked through USB with no battery part to it? Or do i have to take the top off one of my batteries to hook it up to this thing.

Also do they ever short out? Do i ever have to worry about it causing any problems? I know everything has certain chances to malfunction just curious to know how these work really.

Also was just doing a little bit of research on here about them and people said not to use it really on the PC but yet to get a wall adapter or car adapter thats 5V@1AMP (1000MA) But i really dont get all of that lol.

And last but not least if any of you use USB Passthroughs where did yall order yours from and how have they been working? I want to get that steady voltage to use with my PV while im at home :p

Thanks sooo much to everyone that takes the time to read this and is able to help me out with this. I really appreciate it and hope you have a good one. Thanks once again everyone hope to hear from someone soon so i can put my order out :D

ok there is inline battery and ones with no inline battery...

the inline batteries have a battery in the middle of the cord.. it is a 10440 battery.. it is helpful for if you want to unplug it and use it.. runs at 3.7 v off the battery..

the no inline has no battery it is only powered by the usb.. you only attach a atty to it.. these put out a higher voltage

i have only seen one post about a passthru shorting a comp.. many see it as why risk having to replace a motherboard or a power supply when they can just spend $5 and use the adapter and be sure that the comp is safe..

Hey, Lab, I have the standard joye510 passthru from cignot. It worked for only a couple of months. I want to buy another 10440 batt for it to see if it's just the batt that went dead, but don't want to have to buy one batt + pay the $5 ship'g fee. Is this a batt I can get in a store like Radio Shak or at a camera dept somewhere? The batt says -- ICR10440P 360mAh on it. Please and thank you.
