Hey guys i just got my 510 USB passthrough in today. Its just the USB to the battery there is no inline battery. Anyways i just plugged it up to the wall through a 5.2V(1000MA) old ipod touch charger and when i dont have the cartomizer on it the color at the end is red like its working and i can hold the button down and it will stay red ... now when i hook the cartomizer to the battery and press the button it goes red for a second then flashes green and it wont heat up or anything :(. Is there chance even though it doesnt have a inline battery that you have to charge it ? Anyone know whats going on this my passthrough? im new to the passthroughs so i have no idea thanks to everyone that takes there time to read this !

Hmm.. I'm stumped. I had problems with mine when I first tried to use it, But after using a different wall adapter it worked fine. My problem was that I was trying to use an adapter with too much voltage. Do you have any other wall adapters? I was luck in the sense that my husband is a nerd <3 so he has lots of un-used gadgets laying around.

OK so this is weird i decided to try and not use the cartomizer on the passthrough and just my regular atomizer that has a gold band on it like the passthrough battery and it works great ... but when i try to use the cartomizer with a silver band on it doesnt work ... do the gold and silver bands have anything to do with anything or is my passthrough just being prissy lol O_O i kinda got the cartomizers to only use for the passthrough but i guess not :(

Also with the cartomizers i put like anymore than about 8 drops in it .. they start leaking and liquids goes all over the place :( and it said on them that each cartomizer will hold about 1ml ... can anyone help me on this one ?

In both cases, my guess would be that the device is not capable of delivering the amperage needed for the Ecig. USB ports on computers are capable of delivering 500ma to a load. Draw any more and they shut down.

Check the USB wall charger specs on its label. It needs to be 2000mah to be effective. Charging is one thing, vaping on it is another. If you are using your USB passthrough on a computer USB port, it needs to be one that has the battery box in the middle of the cord. Otherwise, the passthrough will only work with an AC (house charger) or DC (car charger) that can deliver the current.
