Hey guys i need some help if any of you are willing to help me out :p

I have a 510 PV nothing at all done to it and i haven't used it in awhile so ill have to order a couple more atteys. Anyways With the USB passthrough i was going to order what do they mean by No inline battery? Does that just mean its just a cord hooked through USB with no battery part to it? Or do i have to take the top off one of my batteries to hook it up to this thing.

Also do they ever short out? Do i ever have to worry about it causing any problems? I know everything has certain chances to malfunction just curious to know how these work really.

Also was just doing a little bit of research on here about them and people said not to use it really on the PC but yet to get a wall adapter or car adapter thats 5V@1AMP (1000MA) But i really dont get all of that lol.

And last but not least if any of you use USB Passthroughs where did yall order yours from and how have they been working? I want to get that steady voltage to use with my PV while im at home :p

Thanks sooo much to everyone that takes the time to read this and is able to help me out with this. I really appreciate it and hope you have a good one. Thanks once again everyone hope to hear from someone soon so i can put my order out :D

I'm a noob, so I don't know all the answers. But I had a similar question and responses to my question can be found here:

This should answer some of your questions.

Yea i just read through most of it and i found my old ipod charger im going to use for the passthrough lol and its 1000MA which is good :p

But i still need to know some of those other questions i had and also wheres a good place to get one :D i hear some places some of them are cheap and break fast i want to find a good one that at least last a bit :p

And i just looked like RMV has good free shipping but also it looks like there passthrough isnt as good as the one through cignot.com lol blah and not trying to spend a whole crazy amount of money lol o_O

I can't answer all your questions either, being a newbie myself, but I just ordered the 5v PT from madvapes for 15.00 and I absolutely love it. They are out of stock right now though. I spend a lot of time on my computer so this is perfect for me and produces much more vapor than my batts do.

Good to hear. Ive been patiently waiting for MV to get more of those in stock... (hint hint) :p

You use it directly from your computers USB port? No (powered) hub inbetween? Ive read bad things about this...

yes, atty just screws in what looks like a manual battery case. on the bottom will be a connection that will go to the usb port.

Also do they ever short out? Do i ever have to worry about it causing any problems?
i bought one from volcano e-cig. great site and products. BUT, the pt i bought was crap. sometimes worked other times not so much. then finally it wouldn't do anything. usually you don't hear much issue with PTs. you shouldn't have any issue with it causing problems.

Also was just doing a little bit of research on here about them and people said not to use it really on the PC but yet to get a wall adapter or car adapter thats 5V@1AMP (1000MA) But i really dont get all of that lol.
that's from people whom fear it shorting out the pc. two days ago i plugged in a usb cabe i had cut in half. the positive and negative on this wire were touching for a while before i looked. didn't cause a problem. i chain vape from my pc and xbox.

This is a little late, but maybe it will help someone...We purchased 2 Joye 510 USB Passthrough's from Route66Vapor (14.95 each). This version does have the black box (inline battery) that allows you to vape while away from your computer. My understanding is that WITHOUT the inline battery, you have to be connected to your PC to vape. It's funny (kind of) cause we walk around with this long cord hanging out of our mouth, into our pocket - my father is like, 'what is that, your lifeline??" :?: He hates any form of smoking (but used to smoke analogs himself!).

Anywho, we also purchased the USB auto adapter ($6.95) & USB Wall Adapter ($6.95) from Route66 so that we are never without power. Funds are tight & batteries can get expensive between 2 vapers...The alternate power sources are wonderful and both work great with the passthru's. We haven't had any issues or problems with our pc's either. Hope this helps someone... :vapor:
