Questions on Vaping Equipment maintenance...

First of all please excuse me if these questions have been answered in previous posts. I just thought it might be easier to have the answers to my questions in one place. So here goes...First I'm going to give the link to my kit in case there are questions on what the heck I'm talking about...lol

1. Clearomizers: I use clearomizers with my eGo-C.
a. Does there come a time where you need to start using a new one and toss out the one you had been using?
b. I think I have been filling mine wrong. I just read a note under the desciprion of the clearomizer that says:
"Note - this product does NOT require a syringe to fill, simply drip e-liquid into the outer chamber to fill"
Then it lists the steps to fill it. My question is about the 2nd step:
"Fill the outer chamber with about 1.6ml of e-liquid (Do not pour e-liquid into the center tube, it is for airflow only)"
Does that mean that I don't try to add the liquid between the white round thing and the outer glass? I have
been using a syringe as it fits through the space between the white thing and the glass.

2. Atomizer Head: When do you know it's time to change it and put a new one on?

3. Battery Charging: Is it normal to use a battery for a day and when you put it on the charger using the usb connector the green
light goes on which means it is fully charged? Yet if I put the adapter on my charger and plug it into an electrical outlet the
light turns red meaning it needs to be charged. This is the case with both of my batteries.

That's it for now, but don't be surprised if I think of other questions.

there are no clearos with that kit, so I guess you bought those separate? I would have to see the specific clearo, but many of them have replaceable heads. You just screw off the old one, toss it, and screw on a new one. Easy Peasy.

The white round rubbery type thing? (seal) If so that is correct. You put juice in where it goes directly into the glass tank and you can see it dripping in. Not into the metal tube in the center of the clearo. I use syringes on things that say they don't need them sometimes too because it is easier. It doesn't make it wrong, they are just pointing out that it is not necessary.

2. When vapor and/or flavor start to fall off. Many of these can be cleaned many times as well. If you haven't cleaned it, you can probably bring it back to life. If you have and it is still dropping, it is probably time for a new head.

3. I have had that happen. I think it is something to do with the specific usb port. It is better and safer to charge them on the wall charger anyway, from what I have read.

ETA: 2 also applies to 1a.

1 Sounds like you are okay on this one.

2. Honestly, it depends how much you vape. I guess a couple of weeks is all you should expect of one of those. Is that one of those tank systems?

3. Red light, still charging. I think with genuine eGo products, it will flash green in the red light as it gets closer to a full charge. Green steady light means fully charged. The USB cable on those I think is a pass through power deal. Just use the other charger and you should be just fine. The pass through is what you use in a jam if you have no charged batteries. By the way, how many back ups do you have? Get one more.

OK, so that does have replaceable heads. You got some extras in your kit. Here they are to order when you need more. CE5 eGo Clearomizer with Changeable, Replaceable Heads, Coils, and Wicks

Here is the video on how to replace the head.





That's the best I could find for now, but if you search for ce5 clearomizer on youtube you will find a ton of videos.

You know the saying,"a picture is worth a thousand word." So what is a video worth, a million? It's a great asset and I have learned most of what I know from watching countless videos. I use the forums for the latest news and to learn some of the finer points that can't be explained with pictures (like battery stuff).

ITA. I wouldn't be able to do 1/4 what I can do if it were not for youtube. (Rebuildables, anyone?) Watching a video really makes it come together when reading instructions in a post leaves me scratching my head.

I actually had someone complain that I posted an instructional video once. They said they came here asking for instructions not a video.

I usually avoid YouTube as I don't like sound on my computer. I don't have speakers but do have a headset for the rare times I want to listen to something. I guess I'll but the bullet and wander over there and see what I can find and learn.
