Questions re: KR808D-1 Cartomizers

Hey guys.

I just received my KR808D-1 starter kit from litecigusa. I also order some blank low resistance soft cap cartos from them. I just had a few questions about maintaining the cartos.

Without a syringe, whats the best way to fill the cartos with ejuice? Should I just unpop the cap and drip the liquid into the middle hole with the wick? On the sides into the white stuff? Or should I do the condom method? I know there is a ton of info on this, but there is so much to sort through, and I'd love to get your opinions for KR users what they find is the best method.

When I notice that the carto is coming to an end, shoudl I just refill the same way I filled it initially? Or should I boil the cartos each time before I refill them? Should I wait til it is almost done to refill or do it as often as I can?

Also, how long should I wait until I vape from a carto after filling it with liquid?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not a KR8 user but it should be the same as the 510 carto's I use. I don't use a syringe. I buy the softcap carto's which have a white rubber cap on the mouthpiece that can be popped off. It sounds like you have that type too. Just pry off the cap and drip juice around the edge, not into the hole in the center or it will run out the other end. Put enough juice so the filler material is saturated but not flooded. Letting it sit for a 1/2 hour or so lets the juice equalize throughout the filler.

When the flavor starts tasting even a little burned it's time to refill. If you're putting the same flavor just drip more juice into it the same way as you did the first time. It won't take nearly as much because you can't vape them completely dry. It'll probably take a little over half what a new one does. If you're going to change flavors you can wash and dry them, or just fill with the new flavor and let them mix. Some flavors are ok mixed, others aren't. If you're going from a weak flavor to a stronger one it's usually not bad. If you're going from a strong one to a weak one it doesn't work out too well usually. Some flavors stay in there forever, cinnamon and menthol for instance. Most people who use carto's a lot have one dedicated to each flavor, or one for tobacco, another for fruit, etc.

I use the condom method because its quick and easy and I can be a bit lazy. I have filled/refilled a 5 pk of cartos and they are good for up to 2 weeks worth of refills(condom method also), heavy vaping, then I put them in a container to be cleaned, if/when I need more. Each carto lasts me about 2 hours of heavy vaping. You will know when to clean or pitch the refilled cartos by the change in taste/feel of the vapor and the decreasing amount of juice they will hold and the shortening of the time it will allow to vape.

You got LR cartos for a regular KR808D-1? Let us know how that works out for you. I think usually LR's are only recommended for fat-battery versions of minis.

And if it burns your lips, cut a small circle out of the round end of a carto condom and slip that on the mouth end.

I like the Coolcarts from V4L. They don't get hot like my regular ones do, even with heavy vaping. I also fill & refill by popping the white mouthpiece out, holding the carto at a 45 degree angle & dripping in a few drops to let it slide down the side into the polyfill, then rotating the carto a little & dripping in a few more drops & repeating this several times (to get it in as evenly around as possible) until it looks pretty well saturated. I never let it get completely dry, so a refill (or topping off, as some might call it) usually consists of about 10-15 drops (half of an original fill). Condom method is popular but I think it's too messy and I really want to avoid getting juice on the battery connection end, so I "top off" instead.

I enjoy the WOW carts from V4L and I'm looking at over 40 boxes of 5, (varied colors). To me they deliver the best flavor, taste and vape. I also enjoy the 510 ego and riva mostly for the vape. just acquired the leo and its good also.

I'd recommend the condom method for a beginner. As time passes you may want to try removing the end cap and dripping 15 to 20 drops in a nearly empty cart. In either case, enjoy yourself and welcome
