I have just gotten my wife to start vaping (finally) and I fixed her up with a maxi roughstack V2. I started her on Boges but, I had some 510 Dual Coil Stainless Mega XL Cartomizers laying around and she loves them.

First question: When I put that cartomizer directly in the roughstack, it didn't work. I had to use a shorty 510 extension I had to get it to work. I'm assuming that's because the centerpost is too low in the roughstack. Is there a good way to get it back up?

Second question: Will the Black Anodized Drip Tip for the EGO Dual Coil fit that cartomizer.

Third question: Will a bolt with an extender tube take an 18650?

Thanks

Yes the bolt with extender fits a 18650, but beware I sent mine back because the threads on the extender weren't making a good connection causing the voltage to drop so low I couldn't get a hit, they told me to wrap Tin foil
Around the threads, I wasnt willing to do this for all the $$ I spent!
To raise the connection just get a paper clip and slowly pry and wiggle the center post up.

Mickey,

The center post on the cart has been pushed up by the mod your screwing it into. You should be able to wiggle it back out or just continue to use the extension. Here is a link to phil's quick video talking about pulling your center pin that explains it all.

I got one of the first run Buzz Pros and they had a similar problem. I haven't seen any posts about it lately so they probably fixed it in the production process. The foil is a weird solution though. I wouldn't have done that either. On the buzz a thorough cleaning of the threads with a q-tip and isopropyl took care of it.

I tried what it said in the video and bent my micro screwdriver. :) So, I'm saying the extension is fine for now.

No one can tell me about that drip tip????

You might want to try pulling the pin up on the roughstack itself, I did the same with a dental-pick and that works. The drip tip appears to be for the wide EGo cartomizers so won't work on a standard-width cartomizer

On your roughstack, do you get a black residue inside and on the threads? Mine does and I was trying to figure out how to eliminate it. I'm afraid it might be interfering with the battery etc.

Actually, it's not mine. I bought it for my wife and it's pretty new. Hasn't had time to accumulate that kind of thing. Isopropyl and a q-tiip is usually good for that kind of thing though. :)
