Another Newbie question, sorry in advance. I'm reading the guide to my vapor4life and sitting here charging my batt via usb so I can make sure all my equipment is working properly. As I'm sitting here I see a quick blue flash popping up every 4-5 sec is that because it's almost done charging? or because something is going on with my USB charger?

Thanks guys....OK, here comes more questions...I'm getting carto overload. I just tried one of the cartos from the sampler pack they sent me...the RY4 11mg...I want to try more, but I'm afraid. Will it hurt the cartos life span if I use one just to try what it tastes like and then put it away? I'm not a huge smoker and these 10 cartos will last me for a while but I don't want to try them if it will shorten the lifespan. Sorry for all these Newb questions....

Thanks, I broke down and already found a favorite RY4, tastes sooo good. I already see a problem with vaping; I was maybe a 3-5 cigarette a day guy and maybe more on the weekend if I went out to a bar, but now I can't put this thing down...my wife was afraid of this.

But, you could tell her that at least you're not smoking which is the reason why you wanted to vape in the first place.

I vape more than I smoked and I'm trying to cut down on vaping now. After you obtain the trust of "vaping" and realize that you can quit smoking you get to the point where you can control how much you vape and slow it down a bit. Plus I've lowered the nic level by half. It's really a learning curve and it has taken me six months to figure this part out.

red means charging. Wait till it turns a different color from red and your good. I wouldn't read much in to the blinking:) China and all

The flashing is a normal function. What is happening is that the battery has finished it's rapid charge cycle and is starting the top up charge. When it flashes the charge is stopping for a second so the charger can "look" at what charge the battery is holding. Then it either continues if required or indicates that the full charge has been reached. Some chargers mask this by giving a delay to the LED so you don't see the flashing but it is still going on behind the scenes.

Do some people vape less than they smoked?? Wow!! I thought everyone was like me and only put their e-cig down to sleep!!

Thanks Skyler, yeah I told her, she actually doesn't seem to mind it too much; no smell, no smoke, no dirty ashtray, no 400+ chemicals...now if I could convince her to let me do it inside when it's cold; but she wants me to treat it as it were a cigarette to keep the "realism" (she's evil  I tell you..lol I ordered the cowboy 8mg which are good, and I got a sampler pack of 11mg, but when I reorder I definitely will order the 8mg again and I think I really like the RY4. I will get a handle on it, just the excitement of the new "toy" thanks for all your help. P.S. my wife loves your avatar, she loves angels...

She won't let you smoke in the house? Man that's rough. I smoke this thing everywhere. Even in school. Explaining to people constantly that it's only water vapor being exhaled gets annoying, though.
Yeah unfortunately that was part of the deal, since I'm not a big smoker she just doesn't understand why I don't quit in the first place but she said if I ordered the v4l that I would have to treat it like the real thing because she didn't want me to start vaping more than I smoked....well she was right :( I've vaped more tonight than I ever smoked, but I'm told that's normal.
I do want to quit or at least get to the point where I'm smoking 0mg so I will try to treat it just as if they were real cigarettes and do it just as I would with the real ones. Plus when she's not home...she'll never know I vaped inside the house

It's weird, but I actually went the complete opposite. When I smoked regular cigarettes I smoked a lot.. a pack to a pack and a half a day. But since I've started vaping I only take a puff every 15 minutes at most. A single cartridge has been lasting me all day and a little while into the next. I guess I'm cutting down on nicotine intake without even really trying to.

Surprisingly, I don't vape nearly as much compared to when I was smoking analogs. I know that it has only been a few days for me (I'm sure this will change when I get some different flavor carts), but I have only gone through about 1½ carts since I started vaping on Tuesday. I would have gone through at least 3-4 packs of Camel Lights in that amount of time.

EDIT: And on top of it, I have let many of my friends and my fianceé try out my VK, and I'm pretty sure that was a big contribution to my cart usage.

Careful about that... you're actually exhaling mostly PG/VG, and trace amounts of the nic and flavoring as well... (All of which is probably well and good, but technically you are exhaling nicotine into the air...)

It is very difficult to "make a deal" on a nicotine habit. I actually feel sorry for you. I don't like my habit to be controlled by others. This change to e-cigs has everyone I know baffled as I was a heavy smoker and could not see quitting in the future.

You have a great goal but it takes time to achieve it. Hopefully, you will be able to vape in the house and not in the dog house outside.
