Did you use VG? If it's too high on VG the cotton will not take it that easy.

I usually drip by the side and when it starts to drip at the battery connection I use the gravitation swing to make the fluids go down. Then few more until it drips again. Wipe the excess off the battery end, few hard blows to get the fluids out of the center hole. Driptip on and VapeOn o/

(If you like to play with syringes then poke the needle by the side, bulling it out while you fill. This way is a bit faster).

Hopefully you don't plan to use them on Blu or slim 510. LR stuff is for the fat battery models and mods (450mah+) which have stronger electronics in them that can deal with the higher current.

If you have suitable juice you don't need a syringe. They are 1ml cartos, not so deep so no syringe is needed unless you are trying for force thick juice into them. I only use thin clear juices - PG 2 20% or less VG and I avoid juices that drop a lot of flavoring sediment (clogs up carto, ruins drag and wicking, gunks up coil, shortens life of carto). I also think thicker juices lag the drag and wicking, can lead to more singeing etc.

---
How I fill a cartomizer (Vapor4Life for KR8 or Boge 510 for 510 which are all soft-cap w/ no inner seals and defined central air channel)

I use thin (20% or less VG) liquid or Vapor4Life WOW liquids, preferably clear liquids w/ no sediment

Filling a blank carto - I pop off the soft cap (unbent paperclip carefully in the mouth hole, not catching any wires or stuffing!). I hold some tissue against the threaded end hole. I tilt the carto and slowly drip 18 drops (per ml of carto capacity and these are 1ml cartos) onto the inner wall of the carto so it slides down into the stuffing while I rotate the carto. Then I wait 15 seconds or so then I drip however many more drops the stuffing wants to soak up.

Cleanup - Then I do clean-up. If it is leaking, I clean that up. Then I tilt the open end down into the tissue and puff a couple of times into the threaded end to clear any juice out of the central air channel (I want to see light through there). If it looks too wet above the stuffing, I gently touch a bit of tissue to the stuffing (otherwise that liquid will be gurgling or spitting in my mouth).

Settle - Then since this was a fresh fill of a blank, I now let it settle. I lay the carto on different sides for 15-20 minutes. Then it should be ready to vape. If you use thicker juices than me, then you may need to let it settle longer.

As I am vaping - if the vapor gets a bit light or a bit dry or tastes bit off or the carto is getting unusually warm, I will take the carto off the battery, open it, add 6-8 drops or whatever it seems to want (I will either hold a bit of tissue against the threaded end hole just in case, or skimp on how many drops I add to make sure I avoid drips if I have no tissue). I check to make sure the threaded end is dry, give it a couple of puffs into the threaded end to make sure the air channel is clear, and continue to vape.

Note - it is easy for me to "open" my main cartos for adding juice because I replace the white end cap with a plastic or delrin drip tip (I get them at LiteCigUSA.net). So I can easily pull that out with my fingers when I add juice and it keeps my lips cool if the carto is hot.

I posted this in another thread where someone asked the best way to fill cartos so I'm copying and pasting it here. You can use the drip or condom method but I find the condom method is kinda messy at times and the drip method takes awhile bc you have to let it settle. I really think the best way is to use a syringe bc you don't have to wait at all since your sticking the needle all the way to the bottom.

My original post was for someone that asked how to fill the "ressurector" cartomizers, which hold 2ml of juice, but this can really be for any carto. You will just put the Amount of juice the cartos you are using hold instead of 2ml. I think this method is the easiest by far and ESPECIALLY if you use XL cartos. dripping into an XL carto will take forever because they are so much bigger and it will take quite a while for the juice to settle.

Here is my copy and paste on how to fill a cartomizers with a syringe,

"All you have to do is take the dropper part of the bottle off your juice and fill your syringe with 2ml for a new carto. Take the rubber tip off the carto and carefully insert the needle down the side pushing against the metal. DO NOT go thru the filler because it will move it and you could potentially break a connection and your carto. Slide the needle down the side and go all the way to the bottom. Then slowly start dispensing some juice. Dont dispense it all bc then it won't be evenly distributed. Put alittle in, then take it out and insert the needle in a different spot. I normally do it in 3 spots (in a triangle) I found it distributes the best, but you could just do it in 2, on opposite sides. Make sure the needle is at the bOttom bc then you will not have to wait at all for it to settle. Disperse slowly and you will begin to see the toP of the filler become slushy. It is full then, don't put more. If its a new carto is will def hold 2ml, if your refilling it won't take a lot so pay attention and once it gets alittle slushy stop. While your filling hold a napkin or something under the carto bc if you do it to fast a few drops will come out the battery end. If that happens its only bc you did it too fast and the poly fill didn't absorb quick enough.( that happens to me bc I am impatient and fill it in about 10 sec, so I just hold a paper towel or napkin underneath.) wipe up the drops and put the rubber cap back on the carto. Then put the carto between your hands and rub back and forth spinning the carto quickly. This will insure the liquid is evenly distributed in case you put too much on one side from the syringe.
Now you have a perfectly filled ressurector that is ready to be used right away!"

Goodluck!

No prob!

As far as your juice, 50/50 isnt too bad. VG gives more vapor but is also much thicker and will clog up your cartos faster. I make my own juice now and do either 80PG/20VG or 70PG/30VG. Check out BlueMist Vapor for juice. That where I got my juice whe I started and they have great juice and a HUGE selection. 250+ premade's and 250+ flavors for DIY. Their prices are excellent, $5 for 10ml or $10 for 30ml. They also have sample packs which I would suggest you try so you can see what you like. For $10 bucks you can get 5 samples that are 3ml, or for $10 bucks you can get 5 samples that are 10ml. I like the 3ml for new juices bc then if you decide you dont like it you didnt waste alot of money since their only 3ml. You can also get extra flavor shots for .50cents more. Their juices either come in 100%VG or 80PG/20VG, I would recommend the 80/20.

Hey I'm a bit of an amateur chemist myself. and thought about giving "DYI" juice a try. I understand the concept and even downloaded the program ejuice. One question maybe you can help me with.

If most nic juices come PG already, and if I'm reading right so do most of the flavors, do I need to add more PG juice to the mix or just some VG to get the percentage I want like lets say 80PG/20VG?
