So I'm not sure about you guys, but one thing that drives me NUTS is trying to find a tobacco blend I like (along with iVape's Mint Chocolate, that's the only blend I can't perfect or replicate). I have a box full of juices - some unknown, some highly recommended - that have steeped, sat, vaped right out of the mailbox, you name it. I tried blending the tobaccos together...that didn't work. The "nut" overtone in most of 'em drove me...well, nuts.
Then I get my package with BWB's Malty in it. Had to try it.
Right out of the mail, I thought "man...this smells like cotton candy...weird." I vaped it, and thought "well, it's okay..maybe it needs to mellow a bit."
Then while tinkering with my tobacco blends again, I started to play with adding element flavors to tone down or balance the "yuck". I decided to add a few drops of the Malty to the little pool of tobacco juice in the "petrie dish"...and VIOLA! EUREKA! Spank me and hand me to my mama - balance achieved.
If you take it niiiice and slow, adding the Malty little by little, you can find the balance where the harsh or nutty overtones of the tobacco are "toned down" and brought into balance by the Malty, without actually *tasting* the Malty in the mix.
I handed my concotion to my husband, who HATED the Malty on its own, and he declared it to taste "like a real cigarette, without that godawful ashtray aftertaste". We then proceeded to vape it with a couple of beers...and damned if it wasn't like the "old days" of a beer & a smoke.
Ahhh. Mr. Don, sir, the Malty is okay on it's own I suppose...but it's solid gold when it comes to fixing weird tobacco flavors. You're my hero right now.
