I recently purchased at eleaf istick Pico Mega 80w Starter Kit from vapordna.
Link Here: Eleaf iStick Pico Mega 80W TC Starter Kit by Jay Bo Designs

Of course it doesn't come with batteries included. It takes either a 18650 battery or a 26650 battery. The 18650 battery I purchased is 3000mAH, Being that I'm quite tech savvy I know a 3000mAH battery make your phone last all day depending on usage. Does the same thing apply to Vaping?

Heres the link to the battery I purchased.
Efest ASQIMR 18650 3000 mAh 20A Battery - Flat Top

and the battery charger I purchased aswell
Efest PRO C Battery Charger

Thanks In advance guys/gals!

okay first rule about vaping and batteries.. learn battery safety...
second rule? only buy LG, Samsung, and sony for 18650's... efest, trustfire etc.. are those named brand quality rejects, rewrapped.
this is the one you want LG h2 20A 3000 MaH

the most recommended chargers are the xtar and nitecore.. they have single, dual, and quad chargers.

Here's the link to a thourough test of the battery you bought:
Efest Metallic Purple 20A 3000mAh 18650 Bench Test Results...accurately rated 20A, looks like 30Q

Seems to be a solid battery.
The only problem is that it is the wrong size.. you need a 26650 battery for that mod.

But aside from mAh you shold especially consider the amp limit when choosing batteries for your mod.
Here's a formula and explantion of what kind of amp limit you need for your mod and required power output:
Calculating battery current draw for a regulated mod | E-Cigarette Forum

So after this formula

(Max Wattage Per Battery / Minimum Voltage Per Battery) / 0.95 = Max Amps Per Battery
(80W/3V)/0.95 = 28A

So you need at least a battery with 28A amp limit. Provided you want to use the whole power range of the mod. Battery god mooch compiled a list of recommended batteries. There you can make your choice.
Mooch's Recommended Batteries | E-Cigarette Forum

And don't forget to read up on battery safety, if you haven't already. These things really need to be handled with thought and care.

Efests are rebrands like what Cheallaigh said, but I don't think they're factory rejects. They probably are the LG H2 batteries Cheallaigh said. I say those are fine, but ignore what the package says. Luckily, you bought it from a sight that is fairly reputable, and they list the true specs of the battery. IF you look at the picture of those Efests, the wrapping says they are 35A batteries, but the website says they're 20A batteries... I would tend to believe VaporDNA over Efest.

Since you already bought them, I'd say keep them, but I still prefer to buy authentics over a rewrap. As far as the charger, the Efest LUC chargers are one of the better ones, as well as the Nitecore and Xtar chargers. I don't have anything negative to say about the Efest Pro, but I don't have anything Positive either. I don't see any problem with it. I would still say don't scrimp on the battery charger, and get the best one you can. You'll have your battery charger for many years, and a good quality charger will extend the life of your batteries.

it can use both gotch

yes, right :) sorry.

So after mooch's formula you should be able to vape safely up to about 57 Watts with
the battery you ordered. That should also be more than enough for most people.

I'd still recommend getting a 26650 cell. To take advantage of both longer battery life and amp limit.

Not really. Our modern day vaporizers place a higher drain on batteries than does a phone. How long a battery lasts on a charge depends upon how frequently you take a vape, and what power setting you vape at.

A few years ago, before there was high wattage vaping (over 12 watts) or sub-ohm vaping (under 1.0 ohm), you could approximate the length of time a battery would last while vaping. 100mAh pretty much equaled 1 hour vape time, so a 2000mAh battery could be expected to last all day. That concept went out the window with high wattage and sub-ohm vaping.

Problem is the 26650 batteries are grossly misrepresented in their amp readings as well! The Ijoy is the only 26650 that actually tested at 30amps. Most are 20a or less.

Agreed. :thumb: But with a 26650 you will get more capacity. The top 18650 and 26650 batteries rated by Mooch:

Thanks for the info! As long as I'm fine. I'm not worried. My main concern was if it was gonna screw my mod overall etc haha but thanks again.

It is never recommended.
Personally I monitor my batteries for any heat while charging. Once I'm thoroughly satisfied the battery does not get very warm, I may on occasion, leave it to charge unattended for short periods.

Having more batteries than needed, along with a quality 4 bay charger, will help to not HAVE TO charge overnight. Burning your house down is bad, doing it with your family in there, asleep? Unforgivable. Cheers.

Guys! What are your views on leaving your batteries to charge overnight?

It isn't recommended, but many people do it anyway. I admit that I often charge batteries unattended and often times overnight, but i take special precautions in doing so(sorry, but I dont have the 10 hours it would take to watch my flashlight batteries charge when they go flat).

At my house, each charger is placed in a metal 50 cal ammo can(only one charger per ammo can) on concrete and away from anything flammable in the basement. If the batteries fail catastrophically, it is contained in the ammo can(have had a couple lipo batteries for rc trucks go off. Worst was a 22.2v, 4800mah pack. It scorched the inside of the can pretty good, but no other damage). I also have a fan and homemade "fume hood" that i put over it and vent out the basement window in the case something vents. It is made out of the old oven vent hood from when we remodeled the house. I just added some sheet metal on the sides to make it taller so it fits over everything, and then cut holes in the bottom for wires to go under and air to get through. It is ugly, but it works.
