Hey all, just got my sb in the mail today WOOT!

I just have 1 quick question about batteries. I am using some tenegery rcr 123a (900 mah) rechargeables and was wondering if its normal for them to get warm while vaping.

Does the body of the sb normally get warm while vaping? Its not hot but it is a little warm. I can really tell it its the atty or the batteries making the unit warm. The batteries are a bit warm when I take them out though.

Any help is appriciated

Thanks for the fast reply Halo, I didn't really want to bother you guys with my question since I knew you sell the sb as a 3.7v device.

I think I found my problem.....

My hands are cold from the soda I'm drinking .

My wife and little girl both said the sb was cold to touch. Maybe I was being a little too careful lol.

I've been using my SB at 6v for over 6 months, not any more since LR attys. But it depends upon how much you vap. I am a mega vaporer. I always have two PVs with me. My SB will begin getting warm at the top right were the atty screws into the SB at that point I swtich to my second device. When that starts getting warm at the connection 'tween atty and device I switch back to the SB.

I have never experienced the body of the SB getting any warmer than my hand with 2 rcr123a(s).

That being said, since the LR attys have came out I have gone back to the 18650 and am totally satisfied with the 3.7v experience. I would not go back to 3.7v without the LR attys.

You must remove it from your hands once in a while... are you running a fever?

which exact tenergy batteries...not the 3V 123a LiFePo4 are they?... if so yeah your batteries are probably getting hot...
has sonething to do with the max discharge of them being oh <550mA (.55A) and the amp draw being 1.33A to 2.61A ..so at least double to 5times what the batteries are capable of..

These are the batteries that i picked up-

4 Pack RCR123A 3V 900mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery with Smart Charger

Is there a better or more safe option for 6v vaping with the sb? I tried to do my homework before I bought these but I don't really know much about batteries.

Now that my hands are warm the sb and the batteries are both about room temp, maybe a little warmer when vaping.
