So I've only used clearos since I started vaping 2 months ago. I like them and have had no issues, but all the B&Ms I've been to use cartos in their juice bars. Reading this forum, many people say that cartos taste better so I'd like to give them a try.

My biggest concern is that a couple times while sampling juices at a B&M, I've accidentally have the tank come loose from the carto. It was because I'm a newb when it comes to handling cartos, but thinking about how a carto is set up, the tank isn't fully fastened to the carto, right? I mean you need to slide the tank up to fill it. So how do you screw and unscrew cartos securely if the tank is not fastened? I tried looking up some youtube videos to see a better idea of how that works, but the first few videos I came across were just reviews of how the cartos vape and not really dealing with the nitty gritty of how all the parts work together.

Cheap carto tanks and those with too small diameter o rings allow the carto to move fairly easily.
The o rings between the caps and the carto are what holds the carto in the tank thus preventing slippage and pressure/liquid leaks.

I haven't had those problems with Phiniac or Ibtanked tanks, when replacing o rings I make sure to get the correct ones.
I usually use the drip tip to tighten the tank to the device, with the 2 above I can hold anywhere and not have the carto rotate in the tank or have the carto slip through the tank.

I mainly use smoktech polypropylene or polyethylene DCTs.. I have a smoktech pyrex DCT and a totally wicked oddysey. I like the look of the odyssey, but I wouldn't have gotten it if it didn't come in the kit I got from them, expensive. The oddysey and smok dct both have the locking recess for flanged cartomizers. I don't get locking cartotanks. I only get slight slipping from the smoktech pyrex. A good drip tip keeps it on if it does start slipping. The others have death grips on my cartos.

I could put hydroflouric acid in my polypropylene or polyethylene tanks..it will eat through cartomizers, end caps, and orings, but the tanks would be fine. You can't say that about alluminum alloys or glass..not that you can vape hydroflouric acid, just a point. Polymers get a bad rep from polycarbonate and acrylic.
