Don't know if OCD will see this but he needs to put a "CART" tab on his site. you can not check your cart until you add something to it.
You can post on his thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...s-forum/339809-do-you-fiddle-your-thingy.html

Ikenvapes are only sold on the online Ikenvape website. The owner commissions an un-named China manufacturer to make these to his specific specifications. I and those who use them find these to be a superior cartomizer compared to Boge or Smoktech. Better flavor and longer lasting. Due to the business arrangement with the manufacturer, the vendor receives a limited number of cartomizers each month. When supplies are offered, they typically sell out within 24 - 48 hours. Most folks who use these feel the wait is worth the trouble. I use Smoktech single coils as my backup cartomizer.
I "fiddle with the thingy" until just a bit of juice leaks out of the hole in the bottom of the carto. You sometimes end up with a slight bit of liquid in the air passage, but nothing that's not easily cleared by a couple quick blows through a drip tip, and it results in a perfectly primed carto every time. That, and I've gotten a feel for it by how much the juice level in the tank has gone down (somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 of the tank)....I never cared a whole lot for the Fiddle with your Thingy method, but many do prefer it. What I don't like about it is it, like the condom fill technique, is it is a "blind" method. You really can't "see" how wet the carto is. It's a guess, at best. I never mastered the technique - either not enough juice or too much and flooded the carto...
PS... that Baditude guy...his posts have helped me a lot. He is a great source of useful info.
They can be ordered not punched or "punched!" with two laser-drilled holes. I prefer the pre-punched ones. I use either the 510 Fusion or the Platinums, whichever are available. I've found no difference between the two except that the 510 Fusions have a flange and the Plats do not. The 510 Fusion are 3.0 ohm and the Plats are 2.5 ohm. The XL size are labeled "mega".Well that's why none of the local B&Ms ever have these...Do the Ikens have prepunched holes?
So, is there any place else to get the Iken cartos?
I actually did drench myself in eliquid. Do not remove the top cap to refill! The pressure build up when you put it back on will cause juice to spray out! I lost about 1/3 of a tank of juice that way! Instead, use the tank tool to push the carto down just enough to drip juice along the tool, which will lead it down in the tank; the only thing to clean up, then, is the tool, and the pressure of pushing the carto back into position isn't sufficient to cause leakage.
I watched the video again. I havent been pulling the tank up quite as much as in the video, so maybe that makes a difference. Also, my tank is quite thin. I was finding that the air pressure in the tank was preventing the fluid from dripping right in. I was creating a lid of fluid around the tool. Perhaps more fiddling is in order.
Well that's why none of the local B&Ms ever have these. I will have to try and place an order online. Maybe get some Smoktechs too to see which I like best.

And I must say, with all this talk of the IBTanks and the Thinghys, I am tempted to place an order.
EDIT Just saw this (of course) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ikenvape/449113-ikv-may-closed-temporarily-08-01-a.html

That's odd to see. They do look authentic. The cartos are the Gold variety, not the typical 510 Fusion or Platinums I'm used to buying. Would be interesting to see what the folks on the Ikenvape sub forum have to say about these being sold by a vendor other than Ikenvape.

The biggest problem I run into everyday, is that people don't or won't prime the carto enough. Some are so lazy they have others do it for them. Trust me I know.
I've used both and don't think the Boge cartos offered any more flavor. I found that they burned and/or gunked up easier than the Smoktechs due to the filler being more dense. I'm surprised that you think the PT offers better flavor, though - IMO, the only thing that offers better flavor than a carto tank is dripping on an RDA. I get tons of flavor (and vapor) out of my IBTs with Smoktech cartos. Which resistance level are you using, and how many volts/watts?I recently got 2 IBtanked 19mm and have been using the flanged 2.0ohm smoktech cartos. If i tried a Boge carto do you think I could possibly get more flavour? Thats the only thing that I find is lacking with the IBtank over the protank2's. I get full flavour from the protanks but not so much from the ibtanked with cartos. But I prefer flanged so thats what im gonna stick with. Any ideas fellas?
Cheers, Matt

I've experimented with "fiddling the thingy" until the top of the carto looks slushy, but that invariably results in a flooded carto - I've always been able to clear it and use the carto, but it's sloppier than I'd prefer.

When im loading up a brand new carto in the IBtank. I fill it up, and fiddle about 12 times. Then I refill what was sucked into the carto, and seal her up and vape. Seems to work perfect every time, never had it flood on me
12 times? In a row? I can't think of anything I could focus on enough to do 12 times in a row.
