Oh, I like both clove and vanilla, too - but clove is potent stuff. I even keep a cart condom around the battery end of my clove atty when I store it 
Do not use cotton filters. Instead, some female needle worker around you may already have polyfill. (It's used for stuffing.) Considerably better than anything cotton, which will stuff inside the fiber itself. If you can get it, you also want to check out Fluval pads. (That's aquarium filter pads.) They are not exactly expensive, I use a similar brand, and enough for approximately 400 carts costs me 2 Euros, around 3 Dollars. If you use anything like that, use it with a straw.
