this doesnt really bother me, just something i noticed, for some reason, none of my attys or cartos screw all the way down on the provari. there is a tiny gap. didnt have this on my last one, but i got that one used, so maybe the connection was more "broken in"

The PV² has a definite raised centre post and mine also leaves a small gap. Not a problem really, but what is irritating is on CE3's it damages the carto's rubber insulation between the positive post and body and creates a short if you screw it on too tight.
Right after I posted my reply above, I filled a new Boge carto...and it doesn't screw in all the way. The gap is tiny, but it's there. I guess it depends on the atty/carto. It's probably better off that the center posts sits high (rather than too low) so that it works with a wider variety of attys/cartos. I've seen videos where the LT won't run certain cartos because the post is too low.
I had to check mine, and there is a small gap with the carto I have on there. I usually have a 510 shorty extension on it to minimize wear and tear on the Provari threads, but I believe without it most do have a small gap. I never screw it very tight either. Just enough to make good electrical contact
