So I bought the Chinese clone and so far it's been great. I do have a quick question for the veterans in ss mesh wicking though. The top of my coil after firing it for a long pull will start to glow hot. If I stop and tip and refire it hits fine again. Is this due to a wicking issue, not wicking fast enough, rather than a oxy issue? Thanks!

Good question, could be a wicking issue perhaps. A dry coil will glow, so if the juice isn't getting delivered, yes. By your description I'd say it's due to this. How long is your 'long pull'? BTW, people who like long draws and super wicking are loving a thick, tightly rolled 500 mesh wick.

As for hot spots, I always check for them when dry w/ quick pulses of the button. If they glow evenly it's all good and time to fill. Once there's liquid in there it's hard to tell hot spots.

I'd empty the tank and start from square one.
