agreed....no extra "wiggle room" for longer batteries in the madvapes vv box mod, gotta use the 14500s OR if you're good w/ a build kit (or know someone who is)--order that instead & assemble in your own "box" that is big enough to accommodate 14650s (just a suggestion). I just got a build kit to play with...contemplating making a double 18650 vv mod just for super long battery life....I get about 8 hrs on the 2-14500s:vapor:"chain vaper":vapor::vapor: that's my 2 cents, hope it helps

The five-digit battery designations (18650, 14500, etc.) are a simple code. First 2 numbers are the battery's diameter (width) in millimeters. Next two are the length (height) in millimeters. I don't know what the fifth digit means.

18650 = 18mm wide, 65mm tall.
14650 = 14mm wide, 65mm tall.
14500 = 14mm wide, 50mm tall.

Diameters of most batteries are usually fairly accurate. Length varies, however, sometimes being a couple millimeters longer than the "official" designation because of the protection chip. IMRs (lithium-manganese chemistry) are usually the "correct" length (because they have no protection chip), while protected Li-Ions (lithium cobalt chemistry) are often slightly longer with a chip. That's why some batteries (usually Ultrafires or Trustfires) don't fit in the battery compartments of certain mods that take 18650s or 14500s.
