Quick question Re. GGTS-TS7

hi all in GG land

i managed to grab a TS-7 last week and i received it today, serial No. 683


the question i have for all you knowledgeable peeps is,


were the TS7's sold with a nickle(solid or plate?? ) top tube and air control ring???


i know from the "how to identify your GG thread that they were supposed to be SS

the TS7 I now have is made up of the following parts

top cap -- brass
coll. tank-- SS
A.CON Ring-- Nickle (plate/solid??)
Connector-- SS
top tube-- Nickle (plate/solid??)
Tele tube-- SS
Main tube-- SS
Neg.Post-- SS
Vent Cap-- Brass
Non Adjustable switch housing-- Nickle (plate)
firing pin-- Nickle plate
hexagonal button-- SS



i have made this list so if any knowledgeable peeps read it they can tell me if i have brought a mixed up mongrel or a pedigree GG

I don't think that nickel was original on the 2011-edition ... but you know ... adding parts is very easy so there are a lot of mixed GGTS out there. Congrats with a very fine GG

My 462, 464 and 1431 all came setup as you describe - EXCEPT for the top tube - all tubes should be SS

I must admit I have swapped the nickel top tube for a spare ss one I had

Also I am in need of a new lock ring for the switch if any one knows where to find one??
