So I had read (can't remember where, but somewhere on these forums) that you're best off to use distilled water to clean or add to juices to make them less thick, and I went out and bought a bottle of water to do just that. I just refilled and cleaned one of my CE3s, and while vaping it, realized that the bottle of water I bought was actually "Remineralized Water", containing "Water, Magnesium Sulphate, Potassium Chloride, Salt, and Ozone". Something tells me I probably don't want to be vaping that, any thoughts? I'm assuming the salt alone is a cause for concern around oxidization/corrosion alone, but have no idea if the Magnesium Sulphate or Potassium Chloride are even something I want to be inhaling let alone safe to use in the cartomizer...? I'll definitely buy another bottle just to be safe, and will be sure to pay more attention this time. I had never even heard of "Remineralized Water" before haha

Correct, DISTILLED is what you want.

To thin down liquids yes, distilled, but you don't have to waste bought water just to clean them. Tap is OK, or if you have a water filter attached to your tap (or RO, like I do), even better. I think the smaller molecules help in getting them cleaner. But IMO distilled water is overkill for cleaning.

Distilled water is just water with the impurities filtered out including minerals.

Remineralized water is water with minerals put back in.

Basically drinking distilled water would have the effect of the water soaking minerals from your body. You don't want water to do that.

I always clean with hot tap water. Some say to clean with distilled water because of the flouride in tap water.

I just noticed that after mixing in the remineralized water that the juice tasted muted (I mixed in maybe .1 ml into the 1ml I put in the carto) and just started trippin balls about inhaling things I know nothing about. Went and grabbed a 4L jug of distilled water for $.79 so I'll chalk it up as a win for now haha

Just curious, but how many of you keep the air tube part pushed in as far as it goes (the way they come), or do you generally leave them unseated like 1/64 of an inch? I found with ever juice I had, after taking a hit I would have to either tap it against my hand to get the air bubble out and juice in, or else keep sucking after the cutoff to get the juice to wick in... I've found it wicks easier with it unseated about 1/64" of an inch, but am concerned about it leaking that way....

With thicker juices raising the post a tad does seem to help the juice flow.
Regarding thinning the juice, be very careful. Just a couple of dropps makes a HUGE difference and it's very easy to over thin.

I'm a bubble watcher and use the rate of rise to tell me if it's too thick. If it travels to the top in a couple of seconds after clearing the atomizer bump-out then it's about right for me. If it looks like it's going through maple syurp and takes 5 seconds or more it's too thick.
If it shoots up like a rubber ducky in a bathtub then it's too thin.

I had read that advice from you in a different thread before and thought it was sound, but I was having issues with almost all of my juices where I'd end up with dry hits unless I would wait 30 seconds or more between hits or unless I continued to suck after the cut off/tapped it against my hand to speed it up ... I learned after doing the first one as it was definitely too thin and I ended up just tossing that juice out (since I had used the remineralized water instead of the distilled water and it made me sketchy about vaping it) and instead of adding water to the carto after filling it with juice, I mixed in about .3ml of water to the ~5ml of juice I had left in the bottle and gave it a good shake to mix it. So far so good...

I have pulled the posts on all of mine. I have some that raise just a tad and other that are barely seated. My posts are typically crooked. No leaks that wasn't user error from turninh the ce3 right way after filing to take the syringe out.

I tried diluting but i always go to far. 2 drops not enough add one more drop and too much. Pulling posts was easier for me.

X2s with clearos will remove just about all of these steps along with words like cutoff, if you hit the cutoff on an X2 you should consider running marathons. A clearo will vape even the thickest of juices and a quick rinse in really hot tap water will clean them right up even if the juice is so thick it's lumpy, Then of course there's the new X2-T3, Hey Imagine, they in yet?
