You made the right choice , I have both a Vamo 3 and an SVD . The threads on the Vamo are crap and I also have both protanks and the Aspire no contest here either . I constantly have to rewick the protanks due to flooding , gurgling or the opposite dry hits depending on what juice I'm using they are a major PITA by design and I don't care how many coils they stuff in a head it'll probably be twice the wicking issues . IMO the Aspire wins hands down the only thing I should have to rewick or rebuild to get it to work properly is an RBA or an rda . I've had zero issues with the Aspire .

SVD was a good choice. Would go with the Aspire BDC before the Kanger 3. That one looks over priced but may well be good. It's their answer to the Aspire slapping them down. Would wait for a few reviews first, it's just so new. Although it may be rebuildable, but would go with a good rba before wanting to build a PT.

Thanks for pointing those out, look good and the reviews seem spot on...have you tried them?

I have a Lavatube 2.5, exact same thing as a Vamo V2, albeit in a much better built body.

Still a garbage LCD display when the Vamo V5 has a much better OLED display.

I think you made the right choice with the SVD. They will all have vaped the same... The Vamo would be broken within a few months... The Lavatube would be working great, but not as versatile... With the SVD you get much better options as far as what you want to use on top, and what battery you want to use.

    I think you'll be a lot happier.

I have a Lavatube simply because I live in Hawaii, and there are Volcano retail stores all over the place out here. I can walk to one from my house if it breaks and get another one.

Otherwise, I would have gone with the SVD.

Greetings; I was told that batteries ship about 70% charged normally, so you should be able to fire up your SVD right away. Enjoy!

    Regards
    Glenn

Edit: Qwik question about the SVD, does it use protected or unprotected batteries?

The SVD and most Mods have their own protection circuitry so you don't need protected batts- May also cause issues- same as running 2 AV progs on a PC.
    Make sure the batts are:
    High Drain
    Safe Chemistry
    Unprotected
Quality batts from a reputable Vendor
Also be sure to be using a quality charger.

    Battery
    1x Efest IMR18650 2000mAh 3.7V Rechargeable LiMn battery - button top

    Charger
    Nitecore intellicharger i2

    That sound ok?

Efest batteries have been hit and miss with some vapers. Better to buy AW or Panasonics which garner rave reviews. I own the Nitecore intellicharger i2 and really like it.

Greetings; Hmmm, I've got an Efest IMR18650 2000mAh...it's works fine, but I have been thinking about getting higher quality replacements. Not worth skimping on batteries.

Do you get your batteries at CV, Vapoor eyes er, or is there somewhere else you prefer getting them from?

Could you give me a link to a Panasonics 18650 battery, so i know exactly what to look for?

Also, can i use flat top and protected batteries?

Because my battery is unprotected, are they safe to leave charging overnight?

Sorry if my questions seem noobish, im just trying to get my head round everything so i dont feck up. :)

    Cheers.

Yes "some" have reported issues with the Efest. Baditude was using them but said after a few months they were no longer holding a charge/ not lasting long. Efests...something went wrong along the way with them. I know at one point the were the most popular among counterfeiters. There are a couple of batt companies that don't manufacture batts but instead buy from others and re wrap them. I bought my Pannys from FastTech but China Post is refusing all batt shipments. If you're happy with the Efests that's great. Problem is there's some great batt sites in the U.S. but many do not ship internationally- also have to worry if there are brokerage fess- can easily add $20- $40 to the order.

Don't usually recommend HV cuz prices are nutz:

I would say SVD over any vamo. It feels nice in the hand and it works great.
On the second hand I would say the MVP v2.0 is even better. I don't leave the house without my mvp. I use a kanker t3s on its with a 2.6ohm coil and 50/50 juice and its great. Plus I can charge my phone if it dies, One full charge on the mvp last me 1~2 day on heavy vaping.

I've bought efest and other 3rd party batteries, the AW outlasted them all in terms of duration ie at the end of 3 months AW were working and the others were either toast or very reduced performance.

Three places I trust for Batteries.

    1. Light Hound Fenix Flashlights, Cree LED, Lithium Batteries, Lithium Ion Batteries, Li-Ion Chargers, Leatherman Multitools, Spyderco Knives and more!
They have been around forever, the Flashlight forum guys swear by them, and they only buy direct from AW
they have a cash cow going and wouldn't jeopardize it with Grey Market or Dubious AW
You want AW buy from them
    2. In the U.S
    Orbitronic for the Panasonic Hybrids
    Batteries-Chargers-Flashlights-Only The Best
Need it quick, need button top version they have it but prices are high.

    3. Fasttech
    Warning Will Robinson
Best price around but HK Post is not allowing Batteries so it's hit or miss whether you'll receive in reasonable time, or at all
I love the battery below it's a hybrid Panasonic 2900mah and does 10 Amps with a 16 Amp Burst. Tremendous life. Great Price and it will be around 1/2 the price of Orbitronics. Problem is that it will take a while and you risk it never arriving. Also they are flat tops so can't use in some ecigs such as provari without a modification [risky]

    $13.62 Panasonic NCR18650PD 18650 3.6V 2900mAH Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
