Thanks for the welcome both of you!

I have been reading reviews and watching videos for a week about vaping. I noticed many reviews touched on "throat hit." I think once I figured this puppy out, my throat got hit by a Mack truck. I coughed like a 6th grader sneaking a first cigarette.

There definitely is a learning curve for me but I think I am getting the hang of it now :p

Merry Christmas

Thanks :) I do not feel so bad now. I think I need a 2 or 3 second drag instead of the looooonger ones I saw in all the videos on youtube.

Another quick question if anyone can answer. Does the nicotine mg affect the throat hit, or is it the flavor? I ordered the 24mg and have multiple flavors.

It was a bit of an adjustment at first, but it's unconscious now. I had to learn to draw it a little more slowly into my mouth, and then inhale. Which works out well, as the flavors are so much more enjoyable! Congrats, and keep us posted on how it's working for you!

Thanks so much! I have always used the draw then inhale and was wondering if I had to switch. Glad I don't!

You are very welcome and Merry Christmas to you too!

Don't forget to drink lots of water. Vaping will dry out your mouth, throat & lips and can have other "inconvenient" consequences if you don't!

Would those other "inconvenient" side effects be what you normally get from dehydration?

Welcome to the V4L family Michelle43! I'm glad you're having a good experience with your new VK. I coughed for the first few days almost every time I took a drag then I got adjusted to the vape and it was great. I smoked a lot so it surprised me to cough like that. Now I no longer have the "regular" smokers cough that I had. No more hacking in the morning. It's great! Good luck to you. If you have any questions just hop on in and ask. There is always someone here to help. Look - it's Christmas Day and there are all sorts of folks on here today. Just spending a little time with the virtual V4L family. Have a great Christmas!
