hi all
i have this converter in the picture , the picture is not clear , but the converter give output of (DC 5 volt & 500 mA) , it contain a USB port , & it works great with the usual joy510 pt .

my question is :
if i remove the battery from the pt (which is 3.7 v) and put instead a (wire) , would the pt works as 5volt ?

or if i get a rechargable 5v or 6v batt. (not sure if there is a one) & put it instead of the usual pt batt. , would it work ?

I dont understand the electronics so plz dont lough on me if i said something wrong or funny :D

If you do this you will short out the charging circuit.

There is a vendor that sells 5v passthru's, but you will need an AC wall adapter that puts out 5v 2A. 500mah is not enough.

thanx for replying

what about taking something like this :

h**p://vvv.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11128

which is a rechargable batt. with output 5.6 v & 450 maH ,then modifying the original pt (just keeping the part that connect to the atty. with a small piece of wire (like in the attached picture) ,then connecting the wire of the pt to this rech.batt.!?

just wondering ??
