I vape at work in my cube and it is a very quiet environment. I've noticed that most of my cartomizers are quite loud. Everybody around me can hear it popping and crackling. Are there any that don't make the noise?
I kinda like the sound made by cartos. It's reassuring to me...but I only vape in the restroom when no one's around @ work & not in my cube.
I tell my newbie converts that if it sounds like bacon frying it's good. If it sounds like water boiling it's flooded.
Vape on my friends.
I have the same problem. I've found that cartos are "less noisy" in a tank but still sound like I'm cooking something. I've recently been using CE2s. They are great for flavor and vapor but are more fiddley than a tank set up. I also have a Vmod 1.0 I use frequently when stealth is needed.
Look for horizontal coils. They seem to be the quietest. Ce2s and Vision (ce4+/turbos/ego visions, they go by a bunch of names) are quiet as well. Smoke tech 1.7s and most vertical dual coils are typically the loudest.

My Boges are pretty loud. My Dual Coil Smoktechs crackle quietly for the first week, then very quiet as I coat the coil with residue lol! CE2 varieties make very little noise for me.
