"Quit sick" or did I catch a bug?

I dropped the analogs a few days ago, and yesterday my lungs had that "I smoked 2 packs of full flavored menthol cigarettes in a club where everyone else was chainsmoking" feeling. I'm sure you all know that awful feeling, right? In any case, today I'm starting to cough up all kinds of lovely stuff and I sound like I'm losing my voice. Other than that I feel fine.

Do you think that this is from quitting and my body getting used to vaping, or did one of my petri-dish children give me (yet another) cold?

I drink a TON of water, actually drank a fair amount before vaping, but now that I'm actually paying attention I know I'm getting well over 2L/day - and that isn't counting coffee or other beverages.

I knew I'd start coughing up junk after quitting, I just didn't think that it would start the day after I quit! Also, I don't remember reading about losing one's voice when detoxing from the 2000+ chemicals in analogs.

If you're vaping a high PG juice, that might explain the voice problem. PG is a humectant and will dry out your throat. Or, you might just have an intolerance to it, like I do. No amount of water will fix that. Try vaping something with less PG. I start having problems with anything more than 20%, especially when I'm chain vaping.

I just checked, and I'm vaping 30vg/70pg. I'm not chain-vaping by any means - I'll puff a few times when I start getting twitchy throughout the day (always sipping water afterwards), and only "seriously" vape during my normal analog triggers such as with my morning coffee, after dinner, when the kids get me stressed out...

If my voice doesn't go back to normal in a day or two I think I'm going to try ordering some 50vg/50pg to see what happens, because right now I sound absolutely awful! I think I sound like an injured duck...

I found out that my achy lungs, scratchy throat, and gravely voice is a virus. I went to my doctor today (for something totally unrelated) and he looked at my throat and said it's a virus, and that my voice will be back to normal in a few days. I asked him what he thought about vaping and e-cigs in general and he said "anything to quit smoking or using tobacco is a good thing in my book."

Try 4000+ chemicals in analogs, and 50 are carcinogens.
I got sick the day before I got my KGO and it was kind of a godsend because it made me not want to smoke even more.
