So i quit smoking 9 or ten days ago, and now ........ is starting to hit me. I'm simply worried that if I keep vaping it may keep giving me this horrible symptom, or is all the other crap in the tobacco cigarettes that im withdrawing from, such as the whole tobacco alkaloids?

Unlikely .. but keep us posted ..

I get that especially after having some coffee in the morning, acouple puffs off an ecig and its bathroom time....I love it.
I had quit smoking a few times over a period of the 15 years I smoked, when making the mistake of smoking again sometimes after having a cigarettte I'd immediately feel like using the potty.

If it keeps happening severely be careful ........ can be very dangerous due to dehydration. Always drink plenty of water while vaping whether you have symptoms or not. It may be a virus and has nothing to do ecigs. I wouldn't be too concerned unless its nonstop.

Only odd symptom I had (not on the list) was a distinct odor to my urine. Wasn't sure if it was from vaping or the toxins of smokng being expelled. But it only happened once I was vaping for a bit and hadn't smoked for a while.

Lately it has been decreasing or not as noticable. I haven't cut back on vaping. so I'm going with toxins.

Be carefull.. when I quit smoking in 2010 I ended up being hospitalized for crohn's disease... a small number of people including myself develop it after quoting smoking. I've been in the hospital like three times but doing better now, its been a long time since my last flare.

I wonder.........if you started smoking again would it go away? (I don't expect you to know the answer...just wondering.........)

It's amazing what quitting cigs will do for your olfactory sensitivity. I'm convinced that I finally got a true wiff of my urine early on. Even after a year 'bakky free, I still often think to myself, "Dude, watcha been drinkin'?"

As was previously mentioned :

9. Diarrhoea
Again, this may be a tobacco withdrawal synptom although it has been claimed that intolerance to PG might be the cause. Once again, a switch to VG accompanied by the immediate cessation of diarrhoea would confirm it.

...And then...while you are there reading...One of the funniest forum threads :

Same thing happened to me when I quit smoking the first time. I wasn't hospitalized but I did develop Chron's :( My doctor actually told me to start smoking again when I was diagnosed. I didn't at the time of course. But now that I am vaping I go months between flares.

Nah the stuff you're talking about (from eating drinkng) only lasts a day or two tops. This was an odor that I hadn't smelled before. It was strong and consisitent day after day for a good few weeks.

Yeah, I got ulcerative colitis. Doc said I had it for years tho w/o a flare. I think I flared when I cut my nic way down, and it seemed to bring me out of it when I brought it back up. Doesn't seem to be any scientific evidence for any of that, but for some folks it works.

........ wasn't my first symptom tho, and unless you have other symptoms, I agree with everybody else on the quitting idea. Immodium is great.

Soooo, how much is tmi here??

    I'll try the short version.

Got a referral in December to get a colonoscopy (haven't had it yet), so I do have symptoms and a sensitivity to "something". I quit smoking and switched to vaping back in March and that put me onto the potty a lot more than usual. I switched to 100% vg, as per the suggestion in classwife's link and I'm much better now. Still not in the clear of my prior symptoms, but it does seem that anything with pg in it is not a viable option for me.

I'm going to say that bodily changes, even ones that you generally don't discuss are fair game when it comes to this. People need to know if the changes they are seeing are something to worry about. We're all grown ups here. At least we should be and as long as it's not overly descriptive, there's no reason to avoid subjects like this.
