Quit weed, picked up vaping - now lucid dreaming / sleep paralysis

I've never smoked cigs but decided to pick up vaping after quitting weed for a month or two. 2 nights ago I had my first sleep paralysis episode (scary) and last night had another sleep paralysis episode (not scary). I also realized last night that the dream state was lucid and both dreams were very realistic to the point I thought I was awake because I could feel physical sensations. I've had some regular dreams after quitting weed, but I've *never* experienced something to this intensity. Going to cut back the strength next time I pick one up I guess. Just wondering if anyone else has experience with this sensation and could give tips about how to avoid the scary dreams?

    Welcome to ECF, Hardly there.
Are you vaping nicotine, with flavors, or just flavored juice (no nic), THC, or both? I'm not a doctor and I've never been one on TV, and I couldn't even begin to speculate what the story is here. All I can say is that maybe whatever flavor eliq you have (if you are vaping any) MIGHT be the cause, or a factor, in this. If you're vaping THC, you should know that their called 'concentrates' for a reason. Maybe a strength cut back would be a good idea. I remember a while back when one of those western states legalized mj for recreational use that ER visit stats sky-rocketed very quickly. Nearly every instance was from an out-of-stater, and they were hospitalized due to over indulging in high quality mj.

    Hi and welcome,

Yes, the symptoms you describe are common when ending THC use.

(Enjoy them while they last. With practice, you should be able to enter/exit the lucid dream state and interact within them. )

Imo, vaping/nicotine are unrelated to your sleep issues.

    Best of luck

Knew a guy a long time ago who had to study his lines for a small play for months because too much weed had made his short term memory so bad. His role wasn’t even that big. He was hoping it would come back. I suspect it did but have no info. I don’t know if vaping would have prevented that issue or not. I have no info. It was long before vaping was even a thing.

I think the reason they say that is there are no potentially life threatening ones like ther are from alcohol or less legal things. Cigarette withdrawal is technically non-life threatening though there are instances where people have taken hostages, so it becomes a bit grey. Nicotine is a bad idea if you’re not already addicted though. It’s an all together potentially uglier chemical. Vaping zeros makes a certain amount of sense though.

Hello. Everyone saying there are NO withdrawal symptoms are WRONG .!I quit weed exactly 30 days ago . I sleep good Maby once every 3 days . But am so tired. And only about 3–4 hours a night . When I smoked I used to sleep great . I could sleep ALL DAY consecutive days (part of the reason I quit) Its miserable but I have been way more productive so I guess I can’t complain . When will I be able to sleep again ?
All things being equal, why not add a bit of cbd to your diet?

Imo, the symptoms may or may not be directly related to vaping/weed/sleep. Perhaps other events in your life are also contributing factors.

Meditate/pray, listen, learn (then hack yourself) for best results.

    Enjoy the journey.
