I've been off analogs for a little over a month now and have noticed that I'm dreaming again. Most are nightmares that wake me up, but not the major motion picture special effects horrors that I went through when on Chantix.
Has anyone else had this happen?
I surmise that I'm sleeping heavier so I actually hit rem sleep and so am able to remember my dreams. I know sleep apnea was a problem for me when I was smoking, so maybe I just wasn't able to sleep deeply enough to remember anything.
At least these nightmares don't pick up where they left off like the Chantix dreams did. Those were the worst. It was so disconcerting to wake up screaming and then when I fell back to sleep, it started right back at the point I woke up at.
Any input appreciated.

Nope I sleep at least as good if not better and I breathe better..except for a few dreams now and then my dreams become distant past not long after I wake usually. I never did the stop smoking helpers because I never wanted to quit..in fact the biggest reason I vape is because the Nazi New York government decided to tax my smokes more than 2x the cost of a pack and driving to the reservation over an hour each way sucked..glad I switched now though I feel better :)

Some people find they sleep better if they vape lower nicotine in the evening. I am fine with my normal nic and even vape extra before bed. I have not had any unusual problems with sleeping (just the usual if I don't fall asleep before my significant other and he starts snoring...). Thank goodness no nightmares but I had few before vaping.

I remove bedtime & morning stress/annoyance by leaving my charged spares set up overnight with cartos topped off. I vape them late night and when I wake up I can just pick them up and vape, no assembly required. It disrupted my ready-for-bed state when I had to DECIDE which was my last drag and then disassemble my nicotine source and screw with chargers right before bed.

This may take a second to explain this, but stay with me. Chantix sit in nicotine receptors in the brain for a long time. The nicotine patch say don't wear it to sleep for the same reason Chantix was giving you nightmares. When those receptors in the brain are stimulated during sleep it causes vivid dreams. Vivid dreams for me(when I was on Chantix) was just really weird stuff, but for you and many others it's nightmares. As far as sleep apnea goes, quitting analogs will help you breath much better while you sleep. Smoking causes constant irritation and inflammation of the airway. If you use a CPAP machine I would continue to do so. I know that I sleep much better now that I quit analogs. Breathing is easier and I'm able to stay in REM sleep for longer amounts of time, b/c I not deprived of O2.

I have had trouble getting to sleep since I started vaping and sometimes would still be awake at 4 am which isn't good when I have to be up at 7 for the school run! I think it is because I vape constantly in the evening and I'm probably getting too much nicotine. I have since lowered my nicotine just for the evening when I am vaping more and it has definitely helped me get to sleep at night.
