Hey,

New here. Down and dirty, I'm an ....... that cares. Now that is done, my name's Chris. Just got into e-cigs and vaping a couple days ago.

Been smoking Cowboy Killers for about 5 years now, and I really just need to give it up.

My first purchase was from BluCigs.com. Gotta say, it does take the edge off, but wish it was a warmer vapor and a bolder tobacco flavor. I have about 20ish day to return it, so we will see how it goes.

Looking forward to using up one of these cartridges soon, so I can get some e-liquids. Any and all advice and recommendations would be great.

Asking for reccommendations is opening a big floodgate. Hope you're ready lol.

I haven't used the blu but I use a volt Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Starter Kits and for a cig sized PV it works great and it's cheaper than blu so what else is there to say.

To me, cartomizers are warmer than atomizers. I have a 510 and an egoT and even with low resistance atomizers it's cooler than just a cartomiser.

A "step up" from blu would be something like the ego or a riva. You'll get much better battery life and with a 510 connection you'll have a lot of options: cartos/clearos, atties, tanks, passthrough etc

As for warmth of the vapour you'll probably get a lot of reccommendations for mods which are higher in voltage than even the ego or riva and I have no experience in "mods" so I can't help you there.

There are strong tobacco flavours but you'll never really get a perfect cigarette taste. I use UK vendors so again I can't reccommend specific juices but I'm sure others will.

Welcome to ECF and grats on making the switch.

Well a lot of new users start out wanting a tobacco flavor but as you get into your new hobby that can change once you try out different flavors . That is the good part of vaping there are so many flavors to choose from . If you decide to stay with it then you can always pass it on to the next new vaporer and upgrade to something with more kick . An ego or a variable voltage mod or just lower resistance cartomizers the choices and combinations seem endless .

Welcome to ECF and the weird, wired wonderfully wacky world of vaping! Hang on to your wallet - it may take some abuse for the next few months!
:vapor:
As others said, most noobs graduate from the kind of thing you have to a Riva or Joye Ego - the 510 connection gives a huge range of cartomizers and tanks. The E-Power is also worth noting as it uses a standard, non-proprietary battery. The next step up are mods - these run anywhere from 3.7 to 7.4 volts or may have a variable voltage capability. If you are entirely unconcerned about whether your PV actually looks like a cigarette then this is a good way to go as mods can be had for as little as $19.

Whew! Then there's a multitude, a plethora of juices! Hundreds, nay thousands, of different flavors, nicotine strengths (from zero to 36mg), viscosity ratios (which will determine vapor production and throat-hit)...

And you thought it was simple? :p

I'm also new to vaping and I'd say this is pretty cool stuff. Since the moment I quit about 2 months ago I've smoked only 2 cigarettes - not that I wasn't satisfied with e-cigs, just to compare.

I started with Bloog Maxxfusion, but did not wait too long before ordering Ego-T. Bloogs are great, I just decided that I need something that my hands wouldn't be busy with all day. The Ego-T's are just the thing I needed. 2 ml tank storage, 1000mAh battery life, pure vapor, convenience in refilling. I've ordered them from leading China supplier healthcabin.com. I'd say they are cool - nice customer support, fast shipping, and what is the most - they offer high-quality products. I also vape their juices constantly. Recommend!

HaHaHa!! Welcome to the world of vaping! You will become obsessed with your new hobby! I never knew that quitting analogs would be so much freakin fun!! Once you get your equipment line to a nice place where you're prepared - the ejuice world is a ton of fun! With the equipment - my only advice is do what feels good for you - not a lack of info here, that's for sure!

I'd refer you directly to Vermillion River Ejuice! Their tobacco line and flavor line is outstanding - along with CS and shipping times! Run a search on them here in the forum - you'll see what I mean!

Congrats on leaving analogs behind you!

Congratulations on your new hobby! The wife and I picked up our eGo-T units last week, and haven't looked back. She's getting a little tired of my new vocabulary, but hey, it's a fun hobby, and keeps me off the analogs. Retired the few "emergency" smokes that I had left over, and am striving for analog-free from this point out.

Enjoy, welcome to the ECF, and again, congratulations!

Thank You

The first one, I put the liquid in, but guess I didn't give the filler enough time to soak in. After about five drags, I got a nasty burnt taste. Even refilling it never got rid of the burnt taste. Another was just a bad flavor (wintergreen). I say bad flavor, but it's not. It tastes ok with the regular tank, but was kind of acidic with the LR.

I put some RY4 in yesterday's effort, and it worked really well.
