Quitting cigarettes

moondanse, congratulation on choosing to vape. I accidentally started vaping after 30+ years of killing myself with tobacco. I liked the look and feel of cig-alikes but they didn't last long enough so for the first month I searched for the right thing for me. It's really funny that what I like the best looks silly and feels nothing like an analog, but it satisfies the urge and keeps me away from smoking.

OK...I just got another cig-a-like---the Vapor4Life magenta manual battery and the sampler of menthol carts, and I love them, too.
Ordered some more carts and batteries, so...I'm thinking...maybe this IS a hobby.
I'm hooked. But I do not smoke.

Hi fellow LE-er! It can get a bit hobbyesque, I know that David and I are still finding the right everyday forever gadget...so many choices. But we too do not smoke. It's so very worth it, huh?

moondanse - congrats on getting off regular cigarettes.
I smoked myself for over 20 years and just recently made the switch to vaping.
My little brother gave me a V2 starter kit this past Christmas (2012) and it's been the best gift he's ever given me.
I've switched my vaping gear but when smoker ask my recommendation on what ecig to try, I recommend giving V2 a try instead of the crappy Blu that seems to be what most of tried but didn't like.

Exactly skoot! I'm quite new to vaping. I bought a disposable blu, and while it wasn't the best thing I've ever tried, it cut me down from a pack a day to 5 a day. It was too expensive for my wallet to keep buying these, so I just ordered a volt kit... I can't wait to tell my own story on here! I've been reading success stories for days now, and it's all I can think about. I can honestly say I don't think I've ever had my mind made up about quitting quite like I do now thanks to this forum!

I'll chime in here and say that if using an e-cig instead of a PV is what does it for you, then congratulations!!! you will see a lot of people who like large and/or expensive PVs and some that only like a certain kind. I'm partial to e-pipes. but I smoked a pipe for 30 years.
