started a couple days ago...and I can't think of anything...usually I eat medium salsa on a regular basis, but I haven't even had that in over a week.

Is it a large area or more like the size of a cold sore? I just read this on a website:

"Minor infections or irritations are the most common cause of tongue soreness."

"A viral ulcer or "canker sore" commonly appears on the tongue (or anywhere in the mouth) for no apparent reason. While it is not medically proven some doctors believe that viral ulcers are linked to emotional stress, fatigue, or lowered resistance."

I've never gotten a canker sore on my tongue, but when I'm extremely tired or on the verge of getting a cold, I get them on my mouth.

C'mon now tt...with all the snow who needs a baseball bat?? (I'm a volleyball player anyway...) That's what the metal shovel is for....well that and clearing snow....

vg...as of yesterday I thought it was a large area, but today it feels more like a few smaller spots on my tongue in close proximity.

Actually, its Maureen's baseball bat that sets me to thinking from time to time ...

SNOW!!!! That stuff is COLD! Tomorrow its supposed to be near 70 degrees here and even that is about ten degrees shy of what I consider to be warm. But warm enough I can get out on my 4 wheeler and check the cows!

And since all Maureen is going to hit me with is a volleyball, I'll go back to my original thought that she has just worn her tongue out from excessive use/talking. Having my Ph.D. that I got on the Internet, I know that tongues are kinda like Dodge pick-up trucks. They look real nice when you first get them, but after a certain number of miles they fall apart on you.

Actually, the older model tongues and Dodge trucks used to last a long time. In fact, I gave my grandson my 1985 Dodge truck after I had it all fixed up and painted and its still a fine truck. But his sister is only 14 and she's nearly worn her tongue out from yapping so much.

In fact, Maureen should probably go in and have a splint put on her tongue like you did on the finger you wore out vaporgalinfla. My understanding is that you wore that finger out shaking it at your nice husband.

So get your volleyballs and c'mon. I ain't afraid of you two.

Sweet TT...I love when people just stand there when I hit them in the face with a volleyball.....don't get me wrong...I'm not a 6'2" giant like those girls that play on television and all (only 5'8), but I bet I could spark the cockleberries of your heart with 1 hit.... :p

Anyway...yes...snow is cold...I am one of two people that actually made it into work today (out of a crew of 15) and I'd like to thank my neighbor for bringing his plow my way and helping my driveway out so I didn't have to spend more than an hour shoveling and getting out of the house this morning. In turn...I shoveled half of his walk. I think we got 8-10 inches overnight.

*runs and hides*

LD, that was a cowardly act. And I'm always making you out to be the hero. Geesh!

LOL, Maureen, my old face looks like its been slammed with a bunch of volleyballs already. I doubt you could do it much more damage. But now ringing the cockleberries of my heart. Hummm. That might hurt.

I'd been watching that storm coming up the East Coast on Intellicast and it looked like a bad one. I can believe most people are staying home today. Yeah, that was nice of your neighbor to do some work on your driveway, but then an hour of shoveling just to get out from the house? Ugh! Low 60's here today and then 70's the next two days.

Well...if I didn't shovel this morning I'd have to do it after work (I drive an hour without snow) so I figured after the 10+ hour day I wouldn't feel like it when I got home. So I got up at 5:30am this morning so I could leave by 6:30am. Now I can't say that I've broken a nose or anything, but the last guy I hit in the face was a real D***head to his doubles partner (his wife) and he totally deserved it. I almost felt bad because I hit harder than him on the guys net, but that feeling didn't last too long.

Anyway...I think LD was trying to avoid the snowball fight that might ensue....

LOL, there definitely are D'heads that deserve it. And I have no doubt you did the right thing. And I'd almost bet that after you did, the partner came and boo-hoo'd all over him. Sigh. Life is strange.

But LD, now that is a different story. LD is the guy who saved MistressNomad from the castle of the evil Ab Domen. He's a Hero! He's my Idol! And he ran from a snowball fight with two women? That crushed the cockleberries of my heart. I'm devastated!

But thinking about it ... snowballs can probably hurt a lot more than a volleyball. Maybe I'd better run and hide too ... Hey LD, where are you hiding?

Nope...she did crack a smile before she went and helped him up off the ground though...moreso I had to help my partner up off the ground because he was laughing so hard he fell over...

And snowballs can hurt...especially if you start them with a chunk of ice....but I'm not that mean :)

Heroes know which fights to have. This is one where I know not to get involved. I've had it with the snow! I lived in CT for 24 years and Maine for 9. Been in Florida for 6 and haven't seen a snow flake in years. It's been great!
