My only suggestion is that we (the community) can continue to grow a true grass-roots campaign, and that the current reputation of BT being "evil" will work against them. It's a very difficult balance because the message has to be concise enough to support THR and not leave enough room to allow that money interests to take control of the movement.

Agreed. I'd like to think that BT will eat it's self in the end. I also like to think that this article along with a few others that have popped up over the past week are a sign that the wind is shifting in the media. Granted, there will always be detractors and fear mongers, and mega corporations trying to game the system but, at the end of the day neighbors seeing neighbors enjoying a vape and benefiting from a positive lifestyle change carries more weight than bilge spewing propagandists. Articles like this go toward exposing BT's underlying agenda of greed, or at least plant the seeds of inquiry into what the **** is going on.

Personally, I'd like to see some chatter about repealing existing laws (in New Jersey) that banned indoor use of "electronic smoking devices" ::facepalm:: before anyone had a chance to get organized and mount opposition.

If we continue to get support from the medical profession that THR is, in fact, a good thing, then these bans may well go the way of the dinosaur. There is a thread in this sub forum posted very recently that has a medical Dr. explaining the benefits of e-cigs. While the videos appear to mostly be an advert of a particular brand, most of the points made are based on what we believe to be the truth about vaping and public health. We're seeing more and more of this type of support in recent months, and I'm holding hope that it indicates a turn in the tide in our favor.

It is a shame in N.J. The current NJ laws are a hinderance to the growth of this industry. We have one vape shop in Hoboken and one in Southern NJ. If online sales go to the wayside, I see myself doing alot of traveling! As for the coming FDA Deamon Regs, With all the proof in the world about e-cig benefits, FDA will feed the industry to BT period. They are the only who can afford to fight them. I dont see the MOM and POP shops going for broke with a lawsuit. The FDA knows exactly how to play their cards. We have a huge fight on our hands that has already started with state lsgislation. The Federal Government will be next!

We've been saying for years that the suppliers should get organized, but they've been too busy infighting and filling orders. I won't say it's too late but we're getting deep into the fourth quarter and the favorites have taken the lead.

I have spoken to several of my favorite vendors. NONE of them think anything more is to come of regulations other than status quo (some taxes etc). I know this is a small sample size, but if most think like this WE HAVE A PROBLEM and THEY HAVE A BIGGER PROBLEM. This is how they make their living. Petrodus once said that they may not want to cause panic for their customers. Though I only see the usual vendors involved in these matters. For all I know I may be off base. The board from CASAA would probably have a much better idea as they are on the front lines with others. Just my personal observation.

Disgusting! I lead a much less stressful life before joining ECF!! Kind of like "what you dont see cant hurt you" mentality.I didnt follow politics quite as much as I follow now. Reading this stuff is getting harder and harder to bear. I liked when people could make their own decisions "whether good or bad". Now some are proposing bills that completely take away our freedom to choose.
You just described the journey I have taken over the last few years.

With a little bit of luck, My misery wont last as long as yours!! Though, even after the DEMON REGS are proposed and settled, the states legislation will probably continue to get worse.....WOW...come to think of it, this may never end!!! YIKES!
