I really enjoy vaping, so far. I like the taste and the sensation. It's taking some getting used to... kinda like switching to light cigs after being on regulars for a long time.
At first I had the oddest thing going on... I'd take a few hits off my 510 and... immediately crave an analog! I thought, "This ain't gonna work if this keeps up!" but eventually it went away. Weird.
I have three 510 batteries (one manual, two auto) and three attomizers and numerous whistle tip carts. I've opted for VG except for the prefilled carts that came with my starter kit. At first the 25mg nic level was way too strong but I've adjusted. Regardless, I will order lower nic levels in the future. (Can't wait to try wintergreen!)
Holding my 510 is odd... it's a bit too heavy to hold comfortably with two fingers as I do with analogs and I find myself holding it more like a hookah stem or as if I'm sipping from a straw. The manual battery leans towards being held like a cigar. I'm not big on dangling a smoke from my mouth but the whistle tips do help when I occasionally grip the e-cig with my teeth for two handed maneuvers like typing.
I've substituted a few of my regular smoke breaks with vaping and it's happening more often as I get used to the sensations. Soon, I'd like to be completely off analogs. I'm just not sure of the reliability of my 510 yet.
I've noticed that the flavor of my juices tends to linger in my sinuses and I can taste it at odd moments during the day. Kinda like a flash back...
I'm really having some trouble with getting a consistent result for my carts. I've tried the PTB, the ZFM and have even reused the fillers that came with my pre-filled carts. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but they all seem to just flood the atty or dry out and the fluid doesn't get to the bridge. (is it because of the thicker VG fluid?) My main concern about this is for taking my PV to work or out and having a reliable method. Here at home I've taken to direct dripping which seems to work well for 5-10 puffs or so. When I'm out and about, however, I don't want to mess with dripping. It's been very frustrating! Someone here mentioned switching to a 2-piece e-cig for less hassle but I don't have the funds to invest in anything else for a while.
The bewildering amounts of information on cart mods and juices and c-cig models on this site is daunting. I've found a few useful tips (such as blowing the primer out of new attys) and I'm grateful for the ingenious trail-blazing that some of you have shared.
Thanks!
