Greetings everyone. I'm not a newbie but had never registered here and therefore, unable to post in other areas. I quit smoking my Marlboro 100s a year and a half ago! I'm very proud of that. I am forever grateful to ECF, as I got ALL questions answered by just browsing the vast posts here. Recently, about 2 months ago, I moved to 6 ml. e-liquid. When I first went to vaping, I started out with 24 ml, then to 12, and now to 6 ml. always a mixture of VG and PG (I read somewhere that the mixture of the two produced a better vape.) I had no problem going down in nicotine and I figure it's better for me. I'm a heavy vaper. If I'm not working, I'm vaping.
Now I'll get to my point: ever since I went to 6 ml, I've started developing a nasty rash under my nose, which spreads to around the corners of my mouth. I've tried everything...even went to doc who prescribed me a strong steroid based ointment! I've changed makeup, I've changed laundry detergent, I've changed everything that I could possibly think of. However, I never considered my vaping! Well, I think I've figured it out...it just hit me this morning, and after browsing ECF, I bet it's because I'm allergic to the PG! Seems that a lot of people have bad effects from PG. I'm guessing that because I went to 6 ml, maybe that means there was more PG and that's when my system said, ok, that's it!
I hope I'm right. I ordered my e-liquid from my usual supplier this morning and ordered it 100 percent VG. Wish me luck. I hope this post will be helpful to everyone.

I'd go see a doc, well... dermatologist anyway... I doubt it's a reaction to ingredients in the Liquid, but don't say it is to the doc right off the bat, as their probably looking for any and all reasons to ban ecigs... Seriously go see a doc tho man, prob somethin stupid that an ointment will take care of...

It is not unheard of to have reaction to VG...... If you have had issues with peanut or palm oils your issue could be related to that or you may have developed. Some vg's may use a coconut or palm oil base. I could be wrong it is my understanding that pg allergies are far more rare than vg ones. I am by know means an expert but seeking a good allergist would you best bet...
