Hello everybody.
I've only been vaping for around 3 weeks. I tried a disposable then pretty quickly jumped up to an ego twist kit using smoktech lr cartos and a mini nova.

Now I'm already eyeing a VAMO and possibly RBAs(though I think I may wait a few months before I jump into those, there's still so many clearos and carto options I wanna try), mostly because I like to have a lot of flexibility.

I was wondering, in general, how quickly most of you have progressed up the chain of devices.
I'm also curious as to whether anybody got a more advanced device like an APV and moved back over to an ego style or cig-alike after the fact.

I got away from the eGo's and clearos pretty quickly, I wanted a good vape with lots of flavor.

I don't think finding what works for you should be on a time table. Whatever is working for you best, giving you the best experience and keeping your from smoking is all you need. Some people are happy with eGo's and clearos, I needed more. I love my RBA on my REO, it is like dripping without the fuss. Always a great hit, great flavor. But, I still use my ProVari as well with an RBA and am amazed how well that works too.

My 1st was a provari. Just make sure you are running the proper voltage for your coil. I didn't realize that voltage setting had to be in tune with the coil in order to work right. I run on the go with a couple ego c-twists. Much lighter than my provari and easier on my arthritic hands. Gonna be 50 this year. Got an Evic coming in the mail. It is a little lighter than my Provari mini that weighs in at 5 oz. with the extender cap and larger battery. THe evic has so many neat features and is an ounce lighter. I really think I will like the timing of the button. Hit it once for a programmed burn time will save my hands. Just got a Vapage bottom feeder. 2 days in on it. 1st experience with a bottom feeder. Pretty nice vape. I think I would go for the xl version with the 9 mil tank, although I do like its small size with the 4.5 ml tank. Just ordered some ego b tanks and tips with atomizers. Can't wait to try them out. My 1st Vape was on my Z Atty Pro rebuildable. Little airy for me. Then I built my Cobra RBA and it is a little tight of a draw, but better than too airy for sure. I have an AGA t2 and a couple cheaper mini Rba's ready for me to build em. So many rigs, so little time. DIY is a ...... It's all I have done. I wish the pro's would spread some recipes around town.

i have a vamo...but i also have a ego twist that i usually use while i'm at work at around 3.8v with a kanger mt3 or dripping atomizer

the rate of upgrading will be different with every person...you have to progress and find what you are happy with....a lot of factors play into that though....income, the rate you gain knowledge, and forming your own personal preferences

ps reading this forum doesn't help you save money by not buying new stuff :p

I Personally Used only slim batteries for 6months. Then moved up to a 4v eGo clone. Stayed there for over a year. Spent some time over in the modder's forum. Built my first VV mod and have been using it(or a variant of it) for the last year or so.

As far as feed systems, I began with a three piece(batt/atty/cart) modded them for better performance, moved up to the "t" atomizers and tanks(6months) when they where first available, then to ce2, then g4, then to cartomizers. Then the wheels fell off the delivery device train and I cant say specifically what order or what delivery devices I have used and forgotten about.... Now rotate through Boge cartos, vivi nova(kanthal), t3(kanthal) and DiD rebuildable.......

Every step(aside from the first few months) has been better for me than the step before. Its the fun of the journey, not just the place you are going..... Happy Vaping.

I used 510 cig-like size for 2 weeks; then moved to egos for about a month,
then went to ProVape(s) for about 3 months.
Toss in a couple box mods, and 3 tube mods; they were ok but didn't quit 'feel' right to me.
Around my 5 to 6 month point, I went to a ProVari(s) and they continue to be my go-to pv.

Each person is different. Some people start with a cig-like, stop the stinky sticks, and quit vaping too.

I had a Blu for the first 2 months, while I learned about the alternatives. I have a couple of ego twists thet I have had for about a month. And a Provari on the way. I will be still using my ego's for out and about and the Provari at home. No other plans to buy stuff for awhile, but there is a VapeBash coming to Chicago in April, so who knows?

I think everyone progresses at their own rate. Some have had cigalikes for a long time, and some start with Porvari. It's all about what works for you.

We are all different, like different juices, delivery systems, and battery devices. I tried the small cig look a likes, didn't take more than two weeks to try an ego 650 mah passthrough. A few weeks later got a VAMO. Tried various clearos, carto, carto tanks, then got a Sigelei Zmax, found a killer deal on two Sigelei V8's. Then got a Spinner, viva nova, MT3, AGA T+.

I use various delivery systems now, and usually take my Spinner and a V8 with me when I am on the go. Now I want to try a mechanical and the RSST. I also would like to get a Provari, mainly because of its build quality, and maybe another box type mod.

I started with white cloud a few weeks ago and they are doing their job (down to 1-2 from a pack a day) but i'm finding the vapor "ehhh" and the flavors lacking.
I just ordered a 1300 spinner, 5 different tanks (altho now i'm worried about tank cracking issues!) and I made 2 orders for juice....
I figure I can continue to use WC at work and out and about and play with spinner and tanks until I figure out what works better for me :)

course, i've spent ~ 300 in a month. Do'h

Cigalike: 1 month
Ego type: 4 months
Mod/RBA: Soon

Smart quick progression! Mine was about the same for Cigalike, Ego type but spent a ton in money trying different types of each. Once I knew mods were the only way to go. Then it was highend tube type with a tank or top of the line bottomfeeder. For me it wasn't even close. After hundreds of dollars a hassle and leak free bottomfeeder won hands down.
