I noticed that the back of my Reo grand doors forms a black oxidation. What is the best way to remove this? I was thinking of buying a tra Reo and I was wondering if the same thing would happen to the outside of that. Thanks, Dave
If I remember correctly, there was a thread on here a while back on this very subject and I believe it was cautioned to not be very aggressive with cleaning the TRA as it would actually come out with more of a sheen to it than the original tumbled look...
I have two copper plates (front and back) on a different mod that I won, was going to get some MAAS Was that by any chance one of the products you tried? Or anyone with experience with both this and maas? Did you also get the buffing cloth? Is that after you use a microfiber or something to remove the polish?I get oxidation with raw aluminum - the "Shroud of Papa" appears regularly on my TRA in the form of my handprint.
The best thing I've come across to remove it without taking the tumbled finish to a polish is Cape Cod Cloths. They were a recommendation from Spydro in here and seem to be the least abrasive way to clean the metal.

Yep - when I was trying to solve my issue, I did a test patch on the base of the TRA with two other products and both took the tumbled finished off. I'm sure the Cape Cods would do that as well if you went too hard with it.
Crazy 4 years on mine and the tumbled finish is long gone from holding it so n much hehe..
No outter black stuff..
What you people got in your skin oil??![]()
TI must have some serious acid...or something...in my sweat. My hands do sweat a lot when it's hot.
hehehe love it!!!Let me be your salty mod
Or I won't be your little mod at all
Honey let me be your salty mod
Would the Cape Cod Cloths work well on a tumbled brass door?
