Hey guys so there have been people who are recommending me getting the rba from Rob's store, but I have absolutely NO IDEA on how everything works.

I pretty much get the concept of cutting wicks and wires and screwing them onto the rba and everything but can anyone give me more information on how to actually coil the wires, how much wire/wick I need? Step 1,2,3....etc...

Also what is the best wicks and which resistance wires I should buy? I vape only sweet juices so I'm learning that 1.8-2.0ohm is around the sweet spot for those types of juices for my Grand. I see that Rob sells 28-32 gauges, what do those numbers mean?

Where is the best place to buy a simple easy to use multimeter that way I can make sure my coils read out where I want them. I don't have the VV so I won't be able to adjust my voltages.

A rebuild-able atomizer is nice to have. But if you are just starting out with a REO a premade atomizer or cartomizer would be easier. It would allow you to learn the squonking and also to try various ohms and see what you like. Picking up a few different atty's would also give you the option to have a quick replacement if a coil dies.

If you do decide on a RBA, pick up short amounts of wire at first to see what ohm you like. Same with wick material.

I pick up lots of things from Randy at RTD. There is a coupon code ECF5 for 5% off. He ships quickly and his prices are great. Best price on multimeters and ohm meter too!

I agree with using a regular atomizer first! I use the LR (low resistance) atty's on Rob's Reo site (EM branded) but for you, just get his regular ones- they are only $3 each so you can't go wrong. If you decided to get the wire and mesh, etc. for a rebuildable atty- get the 30 gauge wire and his regular wick. 4 times around a doubled wick will get you in the neighborhood of what you're looking for. The wire in these is so thin it's hard to hold things still and get an accurate reading, I wouldn't ohm just the wire. Go ahead and put them in the posts and tighten them down and read the ohms between the posts.

If you do choose to get into the RBA scene, then make sure you're taking steps to protect yourself as far as batteries go. Personally wouldn't use anything other than an AW IMR for any of my mods, but I make a special note to tell people who are getting into this scene to make sure they're using IMR batteries. Make sure that you're testing your batteries and testing your coils before you just throw a coil onto a mod that doesn't have any protection, or Li-Ions that are unprotected or faulty.
