Just rewicked, much more cotton then the previous 2. Burnt taste isn't nearly as strong. But no matter what wattage I vape at the flavor is just gone. Smh. Headaches. Headaches EVERYWHERE

Roxy's advice is pretty much how I wick my subtank, but I don't tuck much wick, if any, down into the actual channels. You got rid of the burnt taste so your wicking is better with that last try, but the flavor is muted, is your wick really tight in the coil? If it's too snug in there that could mute your flavor, if that's the case try it again do everything the same but with a smaller cut of wick, in my experience the flavor with the subtank rba is oustanding.

If you want the burnt taste to go away.
Pull the old wicking
Rinse the coil well under hot water
Dry burn the coil - power up with no wick a few times to glowing
Rinse again
Wick/soak in e-liquid/ assemble and test.

Wick should be snug pulling through coil but not to tight to deform coil
Wick should lay on deck, but not into channels

No need to expect perfection on the first few tries. It will come with patience and keeping track of changes.

* Only partially fill the tank until you find that perfect setup and Never Pour burnt e-liquid back into the original bottle.

I watched this video (RTA Pancake Wicking Method!: https://youtu.be/FXpaCa2o9DE) and decided to give building my subtank minis a shot. First attempt using that method and I was in RTA heaven. I have since built my other mini and rewicked the first one, I have yet to get a dry hit even on max VG juice. Keep trying, you'll get it and it will have been worth the hassle.

I'm a complete noob. I have nowhere near the knowledge and experience these vets do. However, there is one thing that you said that I have to point out - you are using the wire that came with the rebuildable section of the Subtank? Both my cousin and I have had really bad luck with them.

You might wanna wrap one up yourself. I love my Subtank Mini, but won't use the wire they include with it.

I use a 3mm inner diameter coil on my subtanks and when wicking I cut a strip just a little wider then the coil about 1mm wider, thread it through and take something with a straight edge and use that to push the wick into the ledge below your build deck and the juice channels, then go about 1mm from the line in the cotton and cut at 45° angle then prime with eliquid, screw the first part of the chimney on and use a small flathead (preferably precision screwdriver) to nudge the wick away from the juice channels and to fluff the tail out. Using that method I've not had any issues with the rba section get plenty of flavour and vapour. As said time and patients are all you need and every time you try your one step nearer to getting the vape you want :).

Well I decided to eff around with the rba section on the subtank mini tonight. And I swear I have the worst luck when I comes to rebuildables. Had a horrible time with my egrip rba base and now this -.-
Wicking is spot on, everything's together right, and I'm getting a good amount of juice into my mouth when dragging on it. This is becoming a headache

It takes time to figure out the intricacies of this RBA. The holes for the juice are too small, so too much wick will clog it up (the opposite of what one would assume). Take your time. Watch a youtube video or 2 about people wicking them. YouTube search pancake wick for Subtank and that guy does a pretty cool looking wick job. Think I'm going to try that one next. But you'll get there. It just takes trial and error with this little guy.
