Hi All

My coil across the posts measures at 1.8 ohms but after I mount it on my VVG it drops all the way down to .2 ohms which is the same when pos and neg leads on multimeter are in direct contact. Goes back up to 1.8 after I remove it from the mod. Any ideas? its my last atty so I don't have another to test, new order should be here in a couple of days. Voltage at VVG connector still reads okay.

EDIT: Found a werking atty so its nut the VVG

What kind of rba? I had the same thing happen on a Grand and blew the spring. As someone suggested, it appeared the rba's cover was making contact with one of the posts once I screwed it on tight.

Have you tried screwing the RBA onto the VVG without the top cover on? In my situation I think when I screwed on the RBA it just crossed that line where the cover hit a post.

If it is the A7 I would say it is the center post making poor contact with the connector when on the VVG.

Thanks for the help Karen. Its a reomizer and yes I mounted it and tested without the cover on, at the time I wanted to dry burn the coil and it wouldn't heat up. Remeasured at .2 ohm then again after removing it, 1.8 ohm.

On the Reomizer I would say to check the posts. See if they are tight and not wobbly.

Sounds to me like something is moving and causing the contact to break when put on the VVG.

Still could be the center post.

I am with Karen on this one check the center post if the bed of the atomizer looks like one side is higher then the other you may want to turn it clockwise one quarter turn

Not sure what you mean by "bed" Rob, but everything looks nice and even. I did the 1/4 quarter turn thing, actually about 1/8 because it felt pretty snug. Metered again and still read .2 ohm. I removed the atty and screwed it into my grand and metered again, and hey it went to 1.8 ohm. Then put it back on the VVG and its 1.8 there too now. Not sure what happened but for the time being its working. :) I'll post again if things change.

Thanks to both Karen and you, I really appreciate the quick responses. BTW, the VVG kicks ....!!

I think what he's talking about is something like this:

i doubt it's the vvg - i have not managed to ruin mine yet! It's usually the crap coils i make. i have discovered it's faster to just make a new one than mess about trying to fix one that reads badly. I even bought a great multimeter (but it's just as unflattering!).

I run an A7, i never see reomizers on the site, but Nerak is a master at both.
