The easiest genny to set up is probably the RSST, which is an AC9 clone. The problem is, it sets up so easy, because of the insulated wick hole, and the spring capture center post, that it might give a new builder a false sense of security. If I were starting out today, I'd go with the AGA-T+ or AGA-T2.

i agree with this. as a "new builder" i started with the RSST. The easy of use allowed me (after reviewing several youtube tutorials and reading threads) to set up my first, working, build the day i got it. after a week and a half of use, i have that exact "sense of security" that i can build good coils and wicks for my RSST. it is so simple for me to work with that i've been able to experiment with different coil wraps, ohms, and wire sizes without running into a serious issue.
