Awesome, thanks. I decided I want a rebuildable atomizer with stainless mesh, no silica. I was reading about the dangers of silica inhalation so that scared me away from silica wicks.
So you missed the other fear mongering posts about the dangers of SS wicks and the chromium oxides that form on them?

As far as silica have you ever looked inside Cisco type atties?

Yeah i actually just came across those threads, so SS is a big no-no. I don't know how cotton is considered safe because there are numerous pubmed articles stating that the inhalation of cotton fibers is very dangerous. I also came across the thread stating that silica wicks are made of amorphous silica, not crystalline silica. Amorphous silica doesn't pose any danger apparantly. In terms of bamboo or hemp, i hear they mute the flavor of juices and add a lot of unwanted tastes. All in all I may just go with silica LOL.

Also Jerms makes a great point, that people have been using silica wicks for over 10 years and if nothing bad has happened over 10 years i think i'll be fine.

Keep in mind, we're using a larger quantity of silica and it's possibly being stressed more in the RBAs, and that in another 10 years we may learn that 20 years of silica exposure from ecigs is a problem, but from your previous post that you have a good idea how unlikely that is. Since flavor seems as important to you as it is to me I suggest spending a little extra to get quality silica like the double-twisted German silica from RTD or ebay (my preference) or Ekowool that many people like.
