Greetings,

A few days ago I picked up an Igo-W as my first rebuildable just to see if I can get the hang of it all. My first coil was using 28g and I made a 1.9 resistance single coil micro coil. I found out after I bought the 28g that it takes too long to heat up using my provari so I will be getting 30 or 32g later today so I can rebuild some protank heads. I am very interested in the Kayfun Lite but I wanted to play around before spending the cash for the kayfun...

What I found is that the build in the igo-w is way to harsh for me to vape. Is this normal? I am assuming it is so harsh and hot is because there isn't much room between the coil and the drip tip. There seems to be much more room between the coil and DT on the kayfun which should give me a more manageable vape. I am used to vaping BCCs like the pro tank and such. I mainly use 12mg nic juice but I had some 0 nic and the igo-w was better but still very harsh

Any advice?

Thanks

Thanks guys. I will check it out when I get home. I know for sure I line up the air hole with the coil, but I am unsure of the height of the coil compared to the air holes. I did drill out the airholes a bit and now I have to plug one of them up because it's too airy lol. I used a 1/16 drill bit

On a good note, I managed to rebuild a protank head for the first time. Sitting at 1.6 which is a little lower than I wanted but it is performing quite well. I think I can get used to this whole rebuilding thing :vapor:

What are you using for a wick, and is it saturated? I run a dual coil on a Patriot 2x2Ω for a 1Ω setup on a mechanical, and it is vaping nirvana. I would pay attention to coil height in relation to the air hole also, not just that it is "aligned", as it is critical. My coils are raised slightly, but if the air hole on the Igo sit to low or to high, it would mean moving your coil(s) to adjust for this.

I use cotton and put 15 drops or so. It wasn't nearly as bad with 0 nicotine but I'm still having a rough time with 12. I can only test so much before the nic buzz kicks in then I have to stop vaping for awhile lol. At least I know what to reach for when I have bad cravings ;)

So what you mean by harsh, is that you are getting a huge nic hit w/ the 12mg? If so, that is pretty normal on a dripper that is built right. Lots of vapor, decent flavor and full on nic hits. Most drop there nic in half or less for dripping the current fielding of RDAs.

I am dripping 18mg, and can vape it no problem, but refrain from chaining it… well because my ears start ringing due to the nic levels. I really enjoy it TBH. Though I tend to vape one of my genisis setups when out and about, and just use the dripper at home.
