I don't bother boiling organic cotton. Some say do, some say don't, whatever. When I got my KFL+, I washed it well, and installed a coil I have been building for my PT2's; 8 wraps of 30ga kanthal around a 5/64" mandrel, micro coil. Wicked it with cotton. Came in at 1.8 ohm (as always) and vaped very nicely. Good vapor production, and great flavor.

I vaped a tank with that, then built a microcoil with 3 strands of twisted 32ga on a mini screwdriver (guessing 3/32") 10 wraps wicked again with cotton. Came out 1 ohm. It vapes very well, and the flavor is also really good, perhaps a bit better than the original coil.

All I can say is the KFL is a solid platform, and it will probably give you good results with anything you put in it. I think half the fun is discovering what works best. There are tons of YouTube vids for builds out there. Watch a few for some ideas. Good luck.
