Was wondering if I could get some advice? I got the rba for the subtank and am using the preinstalled coil. I'm pretty sure I have a good amount of wick but it doesn't seem to be hitting quite right imo. I think it could be how I've placed the wick inside the juice holes. But the problem is there isn't really much room to work there. I tried to pull it back a little but it doesn't want to move like I said tight space. It's the one with the juice holes on the bottom not the sides.

those are the v1 rbas - i actually ended up drilling juice holes on the sides of mine, above the juice channels on bottom of deck to improve juice flow - lol, then they tricked me and put the new ones out with the big juice holes on the sides

for me, the juice holes on the sides made all the difference in the world - especially using the higher vg juices

Thanks for the video I do appreciate it but my problem is I don't have those big juice holes on the side. Mine is either a newer or older version. The juice holes are on the bottom I believe and the other difference is mine doesn't have the screw but rather that part actually twists on and off.
It's the original v1 rba deck you have

Yep, you have the v1 RBA deck, same as me. There are some differing thoughts on how to manage the wick tails down in the well around the feed holes. One is to part the wick ever so slightly around the feed hole so you aren't restricting the opening. The other - and the one that I use - is to fluff the bejeebers out of the wick tail and gently seat it down in the well. The trick with either method is using the right amount of cotton. Too much and you're going to have problems with it not wicking well enough into the coil; too little and it will want to flood.

The pre-wrapped coils that come with the kit are around 0.5Ω, so they're good to play with getting your wick done right. If your wick isn't working right, pull it, dry burn the coil and wick it again. Keep track using notes how much cotton you're using and how tight it is in the coil. It's trial-and-error/experimenting to find what works with how you're doing the wicking.

Yeah you've got yourself a version 1 there. Honestly I've never even tried mine, I only use the two version 2's I have. I just use the v1 to build on.

And hey while we're here... and not to hijack your thread but I've been using my rba's here too. They perform great except for one thing. When you release the button it feels like it's firing for an extra second and can taste burnt. The longer the pull the worse it it. Tried on 4 diff mods, so it's not actually firing. I've heard that it means that there's too much wick in there and it's not wicking properly? I've also heard it can be a lack of wick too... so basically wtf? Worst part is, I got it to not do it with one, but I haven't been able to duplicate it.

Agree completely.

V2 of the RBA is a vast improvement over v1.

My sistee lost part of V1 rba so i bought three V2 RBA's.

I'm terrified she will lose that tiny screw.

I gave her a little kayfun Monster Mini as a backup to vape till i can rebuild the RBA for her.

Try putting it in the freezer for a few minutes. The metal will contract with the cold and the parts may loosen up a little. You can also wear some rubber gloves for added grip.

I vape 50/50 to 30/70 and prefer the V1. If you keep the cotton off of the channels the V1 Rocks.

Scott, those parts are a bit odd, mine sometimes sticks so I drop it a couple times in the sink and it comes lose. The cap is freakish how it can be stuck and then so easy to twist off a second later.
