Resistance is futile!! woops, wrong forum, umm lets try that again, resistance is a function of the length of the wire use, the more wire the more resistance.

When starting out in the rba/rda world, it's best to get a sample of several sizes, 28, 30, 32 awg, then start building and see which works best for you on the ohms aimed for at the atomizer built on. I prefer 28 awg Kanthal for builds from .5-1.9 ohms, I use micro coils, they are easy to become competent at and easy to figure out and adjust the ohm's up and down by either the wrap count and or changing the diameter of the mold you wrap the coils around.

I use blunt tip syringe needles and drill bits to wrap my coils. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...271-micro-coils-increase-vapor-flavor-th.html is the best place to get started on how to wrap a consistent, easily repeatable builds. If you look at the stats of the wire it will say how many ohms per inch or foot it has, and can use that as a guide, but the best way to get it down is to start wrapping coils, and measure your build with a atomizer ohm meter.

Get yourself a Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter

Then some 28/30 guage kanthol and wrap. Trial and error. Wrap first coil and check. Remember or take notes.

1/16 drill bit with 7/8 wraps 30 guage is 1.5 ohms. 6/7 wraps 28 guage is around 1.0 ohms. Just from my experiences.

boil li cotton and let dry, make wick, add juice, and enjoy.

I agree totally on the read, read, read here and watch, watch, watch coil building videos on youtube. I took little bits of everything I learned and do what worked for me!

I'll also throw this out there...

If you have an android device, go to google play and download the free app "Vaper's Toolbox"! It takes the guess work out of how many wraps to get a desired Ohm! Plus you know it's great because it was made by a member here, ScottP!
