Hi All,
I have a weird situation. Been vaping for a while now. Usually using 30 gauge a1. I've done a lot of building for my Protank 2 and my Igo-l. I have no problem getting the ohms where I want. Now I wanted to try 28 gauge kanthal and get around 1.0 - 1.2 ohms on my Igo-L. No matter what I do it comes up on the multimeter at .4 ohms. I have followed many videos and tutorials to see if I'm doing something wrong. It doesn't seem to matter what I do it comes up the same. If I switch back to 30 gauge I can wrap 1.5-1.7 ohm coils no problem. Even make then in the 2.0 range with ease.
Here's and example of a couple things I've done.
Wrap 10 times on a 1/16 bit. Get .4 ohms
Wrap 10 times on a 1/8 bit. Get .4 ohms
Tried many variations bit sizes, number of wraps, but still get the same .4 ohms. Now if I switch back to 30 gauge, again no problems.
I've used my multimeter and my svd to check the ohms. I know the svd is still supposed to read low ohms, just not fire it and it comes up with 0.0 ohms.
This is boggling me and driving me crazy because I'm doing no different than anyone else. Could it possibly be the Igo-l?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
