Any recommendation on which rba should i get? Seem to be plenty of them out there in the market. Thinking of trying the SS mesh wick.

Well I am going to jump right in here ... The only rba I have used is the Vision Eternity. Out of the box works it works just fine but works much better if you re-coil using 36 awg nichrome and cotton yarn. Takes a bit of practice to rebuild. Some of the reviews talk about forcing the clips on to the posts but this is not my experience, if using 36 awg the clips slid easily and no force is required. No leaks, tons of vapor, fairly decent flavour at 5 volts. Without a doubt the best vape I have had in 3+ years.
This ones cheap and easy to rebuild also you can add wick and wire and get everything in one step.

The RBAs that normally use SS Mesh (Genesis) are fantastic, I have an AC9 from Vapinaze.com and the vaping experience is consistent, cleaner and just better in vapor production, flavor and nicotine absorption.
MOV sells an 'inexpensive' genesis RBA with a great configuration on air-hole size and tank capacity:

If you try a Genesis atty make sure you cut to half the nic on your eliquid or else you gonna get some serious throat hit and the very common nic mild od.

If you want to do an SS mesh RBA on the cheap and try the method out you can't go wrong with a Phoenix.

Search for Phoenix atomizer on Google and you'll find some instructions and stuff to build a wick and get going.
Then you can consider going with something up-scale once you know you won't mind building the wicks.

I liked the Phoenix, but the A7 from Discount Vapors is head and shoulders a better RBA IMO. I use that and a Fatty for my all-day
I started my RBA journey with a Phoenix, pretty easy to rebuild, especially with a vertical wick and coil with silica, cheesecloth, cotton or stainless steel mesh. With that experience, I then moved to rebuilding my Vivi Novas, which have a lot less room for your coil. After trying a DID clone with a stainless steel wick, it's hard to go back to any cotton or silica wicks. The taste is so much better. But getting the wick properly oxidized and getting your coil right is a lot harder than the Phoenix.
Wow!! Was thinking of getting the Eternity but held back coz they are using the silica wick. I rebuilt my own Vivi Nova, do u think the Eternity is as simple?
The first RBA I bought was a Phoenix. Definitely overwhelming at first, but you'll get the hang if it after 3 or 4 coils. Check out discountvapers, I'm on my phone so I can't link.
Am also thinking of getting the Cobra or Z-Atty.... Advice pls..
I've heard from people that have most of the high end Genesis that the cobra is not the best and it's borderline impossible to get replacement parts from the makers. The DID and the AC9 are far easier to get in fact the DID is permanently in stock.
I'd love to get one of those Penelope though.
LOL funny, I'm on the other side with the vision eternity, i think it sucks, while a beautiful piece of hardware it feels thin and cheap. produces a nice vapor but very little flavor, even less then a nova, gurgles alot and I have failed to see how they can hold 20 drops let alone the 35 like they claim. after two days of playing it now sits in a box. very disappointing, the A7 I got at the same time kicks much bunz though and produces way better flavor.
I need to go do some research as I didn't think a SS wick would work in an A7. I have one so I guess I can try it. Do folks do a vertical wick in the A7?

I own both the ZAP and the Cobra. Each have their pros and cons. It's just a matter of preference but from reading here on ECF I've learned to tweak both of them to satisfy my needs. It's all about mesh, wire, wick/coil combo and juice of course.
If it's your first time, may I suggest you try the china clones first - CHIDS/CHOBRA/AGA. CHIDS/DUDS are cheap on the classies and they perform really well.
I do not think a ss will work in the a7 it is tight in there and no wider then the ego twist and the atty head screws down into the shell not a lot of room at all.
I have looked into the cobra. but they are eternally out of stock. phiniac sells replacement tubes/orings. and it uses standard hexhead bolts and screws - besides that its titanium not much to have to replace.
Orion, GP Spheroid, ZAP, Siam Cobra, I Hybrid in that order but its a very close race! Id suggest an Atom bomb for a start affordable available and a great little mod.
