I am building my own coils (newbie), at first it was great but lately i'm getting dry hits even with low wattage.

Subtank Mini
Kbox 40w
Kanthal 26g

4 wraps (0.48)
5 wrap (0.62)
6 wraps (0.78)

At the minute i have 4 wraps, 0.48 and even vaping at 13 watts i'm still getting dry hits and is p*ssing me off.

I am relatively new to building but i do know what i'm doing (i think)

When i lung vape for longer than 2 seconds whatever the wattage i get them nasty hits.

What am i doing wrong?

I'm no expert but sounds like a wick problem to me. Either too much choking the coil or not enough starving the coil.

I am finding it hard to put the wick into a very small hole to be honest, wrapping with the little screwdriver you get with the mini

Sounds like your trying to get too much in, thin it out a bit.

Or you could try putting a bigger coil in. On my RBA`s i normally shoot for a 3mm Diameter, it just means you can get more wick in and more saturation
