Did you clean the atomizer itself? I've had this happen to me a few times. Run it under hot water, then wipe it down. I usually take my atomizers completely apart and toss the metal peiced into a bowl of boiled water and stir it arounf for a bit. Many atomizers and drip tips have manufacturing oil on it still.

No I will try that thanks

it also takes a little bit for the coil and wick to break in on just about any build. Especially if you don't torch the coil enough while building it. Don't know if that would be the only thing, but it might be part of it. Mix it with the 12 mg nic (if you normally vape 12 try 6, dripping delivers a lot more vapor than a protank, and therefor a lot more nic) and the miniature stock air holes. Plus the possibility of any machining oil or just plain nastiness from sitting around before it got to you, and you could have a really bad taste coming at you in vapor form.
